VERY good advice. This is, in my opinion, is one of THE most important things you can do to become a good improviser and all around better player. If someone asked my what they should practice if they could only do one thing I'd say transcribe, transcribe, transcribe! Really cool lick too.

Such great tone... so curious to know what kind of pickups, amp, speakers and effects he uses to get that tone.. I have heard him play many times and he pretty much has that signature tone.. I know he used to use a Fender Twin but I suspect he probably uses many different amps. If anyone knows I would love to hear your comments. Thanks

@christrealized Clean channel on a fender + decent neck pickup will get you there easily.

@christrealized he uses the RC Booster, AC Booster and BB Preamp by Xotic in front of his tube amps to get that singing sustaining tone. Somewhere, maybe the Xotic site, he goes into a full explanation.
