  • Li Jia Wei's form is really bad now. I really hope that she will recovers to standards like this.

  • Li jia wei and Wu jiaduo the best

  • Pls upload the full match. PLs!!! This looks like a close and tight match.

  • sigh...now no more coach Liu-what's nx for our tt nationals? more problems i guess!

  • I must see whether I have time to do so.

  • upload to mininova or sth pls!

  • China controls Singapore, too. That can be seen in something as small as sports. In the 2008 Olympics, China had everything set for it to win the Table Tennis Tournament. The Chinese head coach and the Singaporean head coach are brothers. Along with the Hong Kong team, their main purpose was to eradicate all obstacles preventing China to win the gold. China would still win it alone, but it would be a little harder without help from their puppets, two of the strongest teams in the world.

  • Singapore has never and never will be a part of China. We are a soveriegn nation. Please don't make these political statements when you don't even live anywhere near these countries. Even in the arena of sport its unfair to say so. The head coaches of many countries are from China anyhow. Can you say that the American table tennis team is controlled by China too just because chinese nationals are in the team (wang chen)? Don't be shallow with your comments. It is very offensive.

  • Liu Guoliang & his brothers both work for the Chinese. Being a head coach for Singapore is just a cover up. It's superfluous to further justify this matter for it is too apparent that Singapore & HK were complicit of Chinas plan to win the gold. Whether China controls Singapore in politics or not, who knows. At least in ping-pong its obvious. As for Chen & Zhuang, they are simply immigrants representing the US. They are China's unwanted items & therefore are not a threat to Chinas dominancy.

  • Also, the Chinese government runs all the sports in China like it's part of the military. Therefore, they hand-select athletes they think can help them win. Remember, China is still and forever will be communist.

  • Do remmember that in your initial post you said that "China controls Singapore". You have absolutely no right to say that China controls Singapore politics especially since you do not have any in-depth knowledge about our country, history, or cultural practices. These atheletes that represent singapore are no different from european teams that have chinese nationals as singaporean table tennis teams are also considered the 'rejects'. And please know that Wang Chen's family name is Wang not Chen.

  • You know there are Chinese with Chen as a last name too. Don't stress too much on such erroneous typo. Perhaps you should read my second comment again. It clarifies everything that the initial comment implicated.

The Singaporean atheletes were born in Singapore. They are not immigrants. Do you think China would let Kong Linghui immigrant to America if he were to ask for it? I don't think so. Again, I find justifying my claim of China's control on Singapore & HK table tennis unnecessary.

  • of course justifying your claim ins unnecessary. because its baseless. Our country has more pride. The teams have more pride than to just submit. Unless you have proof don't make these claims. In the same way, I don't find that I need to justify myself either because I have lived in both countries. Have you? Why I'm concerned about your typo? it shows your lack of understanding of our culture to begin with. But i don't see a point in arguing because neither of us will move in our stance

  • Moreover, how could Liu Guoliang's brother put him at risk by beating him? Therefore, even if Singapore could beat China, they wouldn't do it simply because they were coached by Liu Guoliang's brother. China's goal was to win goal, and Singapore couldn't be happier settling for silver. I wonder if you know that.

  • so we'll just leave it at that and i'll leave you to believe what you want to and i'll choose to believe what i know.

  • Didn't you see the connection between Liu Guoliang and his brother during the Olympics, aside from kinship? You didn't smell fish, but I did. I am a fan of Chinese table tennis, but I also want great Asian players from Singapore and Hong Kong to win too. I don't like to see them yield to the Chinese players when China's pride is on the line. It seems apparent that China's goal was to help Singapore and HK beat everyone and eventually be defeated by them. Come on Tokyo99, admit it.

  • again i don't see why i need to justify myself. i know what i know and leave you to believe what u think.

  • i can't believe Lin ling lost

  • luv jiawei and tianwei!

  • jiawei didnt play very well here

  • it was really close dude~!

  • great match!!! very close
