I'm only twenty, but I hope to adopt some day, and more than just one. Not just a baby, I hope to adopt older children as well. It's just too sad that some stay in the orphanage their entire lives, they deserve so much more than that, they deserve to have just as much as any other child. My only fear is that a grown child, who already has his or her own opinions may not like me. But I guess that I'll just have to wait for the future to see how it all turns out.
YOU have to approve message...great way to keep the truth out, isnt it? LOL, abortion is legal and will stay legal because the truth is obvious, even with out you.
Im 12 and i was adopted in dec. everyone told me i was probably to old to get adopted & nobody was going to want to adopt me well to everyone who thought that u were wrong and I LOVE MY NEW FAMILY AND ALWAYS WILL!!!!But i do still miss my biological family
this is exacty how i feel about the whole adoption things. if i could i would adopt the kids in the world so they wouldn't be so sad and feel abandoned. i have enough love to share for all the kids in need but just not the funds lol. you are amazing singers. but the one part of the song i dont get is why would god choose you as his own and put through all this heartache and torment if god loved you dont you think that he would have put you in a loving home instead of letting you be givin up????
@kelseycowen, Hi Kelsey! I can tell you have a big heart, and thank you for your beautiful words. Sometimes it is really hard to understand the mind of God. I just know that He is Good, and He loves us so much. He can see the 'big picture' of our lives, and knows what is right for us in the long run. My daughter was adopted from China, and although we may never know what her life may have been like if she had never been given up for adoption, we know she has a loving home now with us.
We have to trust that He is going to do what is best for us, no matter what the circumstances say. We may have to go through heartache and troubles, but at least we know we are never alone...He is always there for us. :)
@kelseycowen Maybe the problem isn't God. He already told us to care for orphans. Maybe the problem is not enough are obeying Him & opening their homes.
@kelseycowen Hey. I'm adopted and i'm 16. I've been finding adoption hard and this song actually almost made me cry. Thank-you. this song kind of expresses how i feel towards adoption. I've been trying to express my feeling towards adoptiong; but i didn't know how or what to say or do; but this song pretty much explains it.
You're right I'm crying right now! :'( Excuse me I have to grab a paper towel right now because I already used all the tissues. I want to adopt children when I'm older. How old do you have to be to adopt in the US? I'm 15 right now. I'll be sixteen in Dec.
I am looking for my birthparents. I was born 12/23/1984 in Rochester, NY at RGH weighing 7lbs. I was given the name Mary Theresa. My birthmother gave me a letter saying I had my maternal grandma's blue eyes (sorry they changed to brown mom), my dad's cleft, and her small ears. My bio parents were 21. My dad was in college. My mom was in college studying special ed. He was Italian and my mom was Irish, German, and French (Americans). She is 5ft 5. He is 5ft 9. She's Catholic. Please contact me!!
l was adopted at 2 , and wish so much l could adopt a kid but l am 50 years old now ! my owe kids are all gone from home working and have a family ! me and my wife are bored alone , its so unfair that at 50 years old you can not adopt a child !
How did you try to adopt? Agencies may have different policies, and you can always try adopting through the state. There is certainly no legal age limit on how old a person can adopt.
Just heard (again) the description of Charlie Gilmour, Cenotaph-climbing student protester, as 'David Gilmour's adopted' son, BBB radio news headlines, maybe other bulletins too) and I am still baffled as to why the fact of his adoption is considered an issue and a factor worth highlighting. Is he in some way defined or different by being adopted? Like having red hair in the UK, is being adopted considered weird and worthy of pointing at? This mayor may not not make sense to non-adopted people.
@jahdaimenaelizabth Thanks so much! The singer is Melinda Bedrich, and we were so blessed to have her sing this for us. You can purchase a digital download of this song on our website at w w w(dot)faithrefined(dot)com, or at w w w(dot)indieheaven(dot)com(backslash)artists(backslash)debbielrice
@Gennarosdarling Thank you so much for your nice comment. Melinda isn't my niece though, she is a long time friend! She has been so blessed with her voice, it was an honor to have her sing on this song. Thanks again, and have a Blessed Day!
SO glad they chose YOU and you chose Him!! SO proud of you and that you have given your heart to God. LOVE YOU BABY GIRL---HOPE YOU HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUINN!!
My daughter was kidnapped at almost 3, i had her from birth, she was the lite of my life. My soul left with her. The only difference between adopted and biological children should b where they have grown, In the heart or belly. For those in doubt, what connects us is our souls its true. I pray one day I will be one with mine again.
@myskai6 My heart breaks for you and the pain you have been going through. I'm praying for the peace that passes all understanding to be with you, that perfect peace that can only be found in Jesus. Bless you!
This is great. I applaud those who adopt. I also applaud those who seek to have biological children. All choices must be respected, and respect is a two-way street.
wow. this video is really inspirational. im 16 and im adopted. at first i didnt really think being adopted was a big deal but now i think its a blessing that people care so much about changing the life of a baby and giving it a brand new chance to have a better life. if i wasnt adopted my mother could have easily decided to get an abortion and not even give me a chance to live.
This video is beautiful. Im 17 years old and i am adopted. I thank god for giving me a family that loves. I cant imagin what life would be like if they hadnt brought me into their family
I agree in adoption but the UK has a policy in forced adoption. Many parents with no criminal records or bad past are having there children adopted. Police bash down doors and take children on the say so of social services. Please please look into adoption very carfully before making a decision. This is very close to my heart and have known of people who have lost children because social serivces say so.
If you adopt a child make sure you know the facts.
I Thank my dear God for inspiring so many women to not kill their babies instead to give them up for adoption. My sister has adopted two kids now one was a teen-ager and one a baby from birth, both are so special...I want to adopt...
My mom is adopting a baby boy from one of my best friends who found herself pregnant again. She already has one son and is struggling to get by. My mom has wanted another child for years but becuase of cervical cancer is unable to have anymore chilidren. My friend is my moms godsend. It will be an open adoption and the baby will always know he is not my mothers biological child but is loved just as much as if he was. And my friend will always be welcome in our home. I thank god for her everyday
me and my mom and dad r adopting!! Its so exciting!! just found out that a birth mom is bout to pick us and and will have it december!! a christmas baby!!
Thanks for posting this video, I'm a birth mom of an open adoption, and am happy to know my little girl has the best family and life I could ever provide alone. Whether your adoption is open or closed, please know if you're adopted (I was myself) that you were given life out of love :)
I am adopted, and i'm grateful to have a wonderful, caring, and loving family. yes i AM curious about my birth parents, i'm just thankful to be alive i cant imagine what would happen if i want adopted.
i am adopted as well. i thank God for this family. i never want to know what my life could have been like if i stayed with my birth mother. i dont know much about them, and i AM curious. but in the end, it's not about my birth parents....it's about the family that loves me....because...
I am adopted, and thank God everyday for all He has done for me. He gave me a family rich in the Gospel, in love and charity, and for that, I have decided to give my life to God, and to someday adopt a uchild myself. Thank yoy for this video. No matter what anyone says, adoption is a beautiful thing.
I am agree with the chose we have nowaday. I was adopted, yes, like some kids have separate parents. or the story of my best friend. her mom died when she was 11. I found my mother back when i was 15. there is not such a thing like a 'better life'. she was crazy.Find your belief in the positive things, and ofcourse you may cry. But be aware, that you need to live here. You might get married, and have your own children. give them all your love, what you might have missed. do not be sad, or agry
thank you! you gave a wonderful message. it's true! it not our fault! You are over your sadness, and we should do too. my therapist ask me, if I wanted to be a victim or I wanted to live again. I chose the last one. it's a hard lesson, we are no victims, we can do this, we have to deal with the pain, but there is no one to blame.can you blame poverty, mental illniss, bad political situation, the age of your own mother? NO!you can NOW choose the happy life, make it good FOR YOUR OWN DREAMS
Thank You for this video. I got pregnant at 17 and placed my baby for adoption. Its open and I see her all the time. I see the life she has, was way better than what I could have provided at the time. I'm married now and have a son (2 yrs later) and I hope she will grow to know I love her so much that I wanted her to have the best.
I was in foster Care from 6 weeks untill I turned 19 yrs, I was put up for adoption when I was 14 yrs, But nobody wants a older kid, there were a lot of sleep less nights, or I would cry my self to sleep. I know my birth mother, but only know the name of my Birth Father (not even sure if the name is for real) My birth Mother just liked to lie alot. But I know that I wouldnt be the person I am to day if I didnt have this life challange. I have made my Adult Life much better,
I was adopted when I was young. Im 23 now in a good home living on my own but I wish I knew who my real parrents were... what my background is, If I have sisters or brothers... What am I, and if they have some disease I should know about. Its hard when you cant find out anything. Not even the eye colors or names. But you get by... hard though it may be.
I wish I could help you.....you will be in my prayers. But just remember that you do have a Heavenly Father who loves you SO much, unconditionally! He can fill that void in your heart, and He wants to have a relationship with you! His name is Jesus. Please contact me if you have quesitons. Bless you!
Not so hard ... but it is not cheap. Have a DNA test done on you. Ask your doctor for more information. You can also ask family members of your mom to see who she was with most. Then follow that trail - asking friends/family - until you find a possibility. Post your mom's name on one of the connection websites along with yours. Good luck!
Even though it is illegal to discriminate against transracial adoption, many adoption agencies in the USA make it difficult for (the few) African Americans to adopt white babies. However, it dose happen very rarely.
Last time I`ve ever to think about my 'father' . And I'm asking myselfe if he`s going to love me anymore. I mean in 18 years he sent not one letter, not one telephone call, not one postcard, not one happy birthday, not one good luck, and the only thing he done was calling the (sry I don't know the woord in english, in hgerman it's called:Jugendamt) and asking how I'm for one time when I was 16. This can't be love, or? But well done, I hope for everyone that all is going to be fine in the future.
my cusion was adopted when her mum and dad died no one could look after her exsept my aunt she looks back and thinks how lucky she got adopted one of her friends were in the home till she was 18nand was given moeny and a home
Just a comment for those who are upset about children being adopted to loving families... Unfortunately, there are some birth parents who are unable and/or unwilling to take care of their birth children. Other birth parents are deceased. Most children who are adopted are actually adopted by relatives.
Backdoorq - Were you ever adopted? If so, did you have an adoptive mother? If so, wasn't she also your real mother?
Yes that's true there are some birthparents unable to parent their child - but don't forget, adoption in the USA is a billion dollar industry. These agencies use very sneaky techiques to coerse young mothers into surrending their babies. They are a business, after all, and businesses operate solely to make a profit. The baby is a 'product', and the agency needs to supply their clients - aka potential adoptive parents. Sickening.
so many things still go through my head as a result of being adopted. But ultimately I feel adoption is a good thing. I'm thankful I was adopted. To all those parents who adopted...bless you. You open your hearts to children who need good homes. You prove you don't need to be biologically related to a child to be considered a true mother or father to them. All it takes is an open mind and heart to love.
i'm learning russian right now (while earning my degree in social work) so that if i survive my current medical complications i can go to russia to work in the orphanages with a missionary group i know. and i plan on adopting from russia - loving that child NO MATTER WHAT.
all theories are true in one case im handling, the adoptive parents told theie eldest son at the age of 16 which turned out positive and their daughter at the age of four which is also positive output
the courage must came from the adoptive parents and how they deal with it
it is normal for the adopted children to question where are their birth parents but it is in the adoptive parents upbringing for them that could make them feel secure
Are you saying that adoptees are more blessed and loved by God than non-adoptees?
What you don't understand is that while adoption is necessary in our culture, it can't exist without some sort of loss occurring first.
Adoption agencies that prey on the desperation of PAPs who want a child and the desperation of a woman who finds herself with an unplanned pregnancy, are the REAL evil and so is the propaganda that furthers their agenda.
I'm sorry if you've had arough time being adopted. I'm also adopted, i'm 19 and thriving. I was adopted at the age of 8 months, my mother on and off tried to take care of me but she could care less. she kept my older brother and later had kids after i was adopted. anyway you look at it, it's the way the world turns. it's about savinga life i think. I'm planning to adopt as well, I can't bare children so that's my plan.
I was adopted at age three and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. For those who have had bad experiences with your family my prayers are with you. I Pray for perfect peace that surpasses all understanding over you and prosperity and strength upon you all. May the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you to guide and protect you. God bless you all!
This is what adoption is supposed to be about, taking care of the orphaned and abandoned children, Adoption should NEVER be about a young girl having an unplanned pregnancy and trying to convince her that she should not keep her baby .
Do your studies people Adoption industry is big business, remain objective and find the truth. Babies if they can should remain with their natural families, if that is not possible then adoption should be considered.
Personally I don't like this way of thinking. I adopted my dtr so that we could have a child, not to "save" her or to feel good about myself. Attempting to induce pity is, well, pitiful.
im a 12 year old girl and was adopted at 2 months old. and many times curious about knowin my birth mother or if i hve any other biological siblings its hard not knowing. but im very thankful for havein being adopted it gave me so many more opportunities to have a great life. so im very glad that my birth mother loved me so much to give me up so i caould have a better life because she was only 17 years old.
I am sorry to say BUT I was chosen by a Mom who made very bad relationship choices and I was Abused Physically, Emotionally and Sexually----HMMMMMM,Chosen???
I was adopted when I was 6 days old. My birthmother was only 18 and didn't feel that she could adequately care for a baby. My birthfather left her when he found out about the pregnancy. My adoptive mom writes letters to both me and my sister's birthmothers. My sister is adopted also, but we are not biologically related, by the way. Anyways, I am almost fourteen now, and when I am sixteen I plan on contacting my birth mother. I cannot wait until that day.
OK - I'm adopted too...but the the consequences of now finding my biological parents have far outweighed any benefits of my relationship to my adoptive mother who now hates them all and has burned all family bridges. What is wrong with the woman? She's my mother! how can she now disown me ?
So sorry to hear that Shaun17170. My adopted daughter is only 11 right now so she hasn't expressed any interest in finding her biological family, but I know that time will probably come some day, and I will support her 100%. I know how it feels. My father died before we could find out the real circumstances behind his adoption...and we may never know for sure who our real grandparents are. It's a strange feeling, and I wouldn't want my daughter to live her life always wondering....
My adoptive mother disowned me, too, when I was 18. But after a year of encouragement from me, she changed her mind and accepted me back. People can do all kinds of horrible things out of selfishness and pain - it's not your fault.
and respond accordingly. I had many health problems, which required multiple surgeries every year throughout my childhood. If it wasn't for adoption, my life would not be nearly as good. I would cry 22 hours a day, but I still was taken, accepted and loved. Not everyone is called to adopt (but many are who are not adopting), but we are ALL called to help the orphans and widows (see James 1:27). I am actually praying for a family right now that is adopting from India. Isn't that AWESOME!!!??
I am so excited to say that I just talked to my birthmother for the first time in yesterday. I turned 18 last week and she sent me a vase of flowers and a card with her number. I called her and my life has changed being the oldest of two with my half-brother has my only blood relative, to being the oldest of 8 (the other kids all have the same dad!!!) And she's flying out to see me at the end of this month! OMG Thats in 2-3 weeks!!!!
Wow, that is so great! I am adopted from Korea and I want to find my biological mother, but it is not easy for me to do that. Sadly, I don't speak Korean, and being a Korean who is adopted, I am seen as an outcast by many. My legal birthday is different from my actual birthday (unlike most, I know what it is, but I am embarrassed by it). I sometimes have guilty feelings that I was adopted and 143 million other orphans are not. Its time for us to hear the cries of these 142 million children
i almost gave my daugter up and omg i would have never forgivin myself i might have hurt myslef //i look at her today and shes my mini me!!!!! i love her to death!!!!without her i would dead nothing.....I AM A MOTHER !!!A WOMAN !!!!!AND THAT IS THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!
I was adopted from Chile to Norway when I was only a few months. Now I'm 17. Even though I don't know hwo my mother is, I still miss her, every day. Wonder if she miss me :'(
I received so many comments and messages here from people who have been adopted like you. I can tell you that everyone of them who have actually got to meet their birth mothers have found out how much they have been loved and thought about over the years. I'm sure your birth mother misses you so much! Thanks for commenting and watching! God Bless you.
im sorry to hear that...sometimes mothers dont know what they have till the child is gone i almost made that mistake and for the grace of God i didnt if i would have known u i would have taken u in as my daughter and loved u with all my heart ..GOD BLESS U
it was crazy, because, imagine that there`s a stranger in front of you... she was telling me about the reason for givin´ me away when I was a baby... we both cryed a lot and then we huged each other, take a photo and such things, but at the end of the meeting I had the feeling that I won´t let her go anymore...but i have to... i will met her another time i promised, then we may eat an ice or something like this and can talk again.
That's awesome Katharina! Thank you so much for sharing with us, and keep letting us know how things go! Blessings to you and your family, new & old. :)
@KatharinaSnape Your birth mother gave you life, I am certain you are aware of that fact. It would have been soooooooo easy to abort you, and I am certain you know that also. I have 2 adopted children and our family prays a prayer of thanks to the birth moms that stood tall for all adopted children. So, we have prayed for you and your birth mom....I am CERTAIN that she loves you!
hey dude im 16 and im adopted as well! i am gr8ful i was adopted my carers are inspirational they made me hu i am and i am for ever gr8ful! god bless every1
myself and my three biological sisters were all adopted by the same woman, we have our ups and downs but that lady has made me who i am and im thankful all foster/adopt parents inspire me. i am 16 but once i am of age i will gladly adopt as many children as i can because i know how loved it would make the child feel.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful video. The journey to adopting a child is never easy, but is so worth it in the end. We have been blessed to have adopted 2 boys from South Korea, in 2004 & 2008. They are so precious. We love teaching them about their birth country, culture, food, language etc. We have 4 videos of our sightseeing trips in Korea. You are welcome to watch them.
Not a day goes by when I'm not thankful that my parents chose me. I'm also thankful to my birth mother, who had just turned 19 when I was born; she wanted so badly to keep me, but she felt I deserved a better life than she could provide.
i am 20 years old... i am adopted... and although my adoptive parents love me... I still was never happy... I felt all alone.. and an emptyness that nobody could fill...
Unless you adopt from china or another country where the children are in an orphanige.. dont adopt... please..
Hi Kdy107, I just watched your adoption video on your page, and it's amazing! I'm so happy for you! Remember, Jesus loves you too, and was (and is) always there for you, He never will leave you, ever! God Bless you!
Beautiful video. I am on a journey where I am trying to adopt a child from the fostering system and it is so challenging facing all the red tapes, etc. I hope you would allow me the honour of showing your video to others who might feel so discourgaed in thinking of adoptng from the welfare system because of the obstacles one face in doing so. However, their persistene would make a difference to a child. Tks.
Absolutly 1963chia! All the obstacles and waiting periods you are going through right now will be so worth it in the end. You will be so blessed! Thank you for what you are doing, and may God Bless you and your family.
I would love to be able to use this video for a Bethany Breakfast coming up on May 17 in Modesto, CA. Can I get a copy of the original file and the appropriate people to give credit to? Thanks, Alicia
Yes Alicia! Thanks so much for the request! This is exactly what we made this video for, and I'm so glad you found us. I'll send you a message for more information. May God Bless you and your organization!
You have permission as far as I'm concerned. This is the whole reason we made the video, and I'd love for you to use it each and every way you can! I can e-mail you the original file if it helps, which is what I have done for the other families who have asked. I'll contact you via your YouTube page with the specific details. Thank you so much for asking! God Bless You!
Yes fiveandmore, I'd love to send you a copy! We've had other families use this music for their own presentations, and it's such blessing for us. I'll contact you with the details. :)
nice video. my girlfriend grew up without parents and she told me it´s the worst thing that can happen to a child. she told me feelings she had that most of you can´t even imagine. thx 4 posting
Faithrefined, looks like from some of the comments that someone else needs to refine their faith. Your music is beautiful, and the words are perfect for those that understand that we are all GODS Children, and he watches over us from our birth. But, it is up to us as individuals to use his teaching. The most important one he aks of us is to Love one another, so Cauliflowerwill I Love you, and God Bless you.
they spelled "lullabies" wrong. and the paraying bit was stupid. praying isn't life. and the jesus bit was pointless, because jesus didn't choose you, 2 individuals chose you from the orphanage. this didn't make my cry at all, it made me think "huh, what an interesting bit of propaganda/advertisement..."
Thank you so much for pointing out the spelling error. All these views and no-one had pointed that out to me before! Now I'm embarrassed! I'm sorry you didn't like the message of the song, but thank you for your comment. I really don't consider it propaganda because this song was written with my daughter in mind. She is in the video with my husband and I, right at the first "They Chose Me". We adopted her from China when she was one year old. Have a Blessed Day!
Cauliflowerwill, I think you are wrong. As an adoptive parent I know I did not choose these children, just as I did not chose Christ.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
This touches home and heart. What a wonderful way to express so much pain that a child must go through and how God can take them through to a beautiful life when that child is chosen. Thank you for such a tender loving song.
This is such a beautiful video and song! It'll be a year this month since we brought our daughter home from the Philippines and she has definitely blessed our lives. Your video is definitely an inspiration.

How did you try to adopt? Agencies may have different policies, and you can always try adopting through the state. There is certainly no legal age limit on how old a person can adopt.

My daughter was kidnapped at almost 3, i had her from birth, she was the lite of my life. My soul left with her. The only difference between adopted and biological children should b where they have grown, In the heart or belly. For those in doubt, what connects us is our souls its true. I pray one day I will be one with mine again.

wow. this video is really inspirational. im 16 and im adopted. at first i didnt really think being adopted was a big deal but now i think its a blessing that people care so much about changing the life of a baby and giving it a brand new chance to have a better life. if i wasnt adopted my mother could have easily decided to get an abortion and not even give me a chance to live.

Google, forced adoption.

DaphneChickie 2 years ago 22
thank you! you gave a wonderful message. it's true! it not our fault!
HenkHolland123 2 years ago 20
Thank You for this video. I got pregnant at 17 and placed my baby for adoption. Its open and I see her all the time. I see the life she has, was way better than what I could have provided at the time. I'm married now and have a son (2 yrs later) and I hope she will grow to know I love her so much that I wanted her to have the best.

Good luck!

Do blacks in America adopt white babies?
LuckyGuu 2 years ago 20
Yes of course. Why wouldn't they?
faithrefined 2 years ago
Is it common for blacks in America to adopt white babies? ( I've never seen it )
LuckyGuu 2 years ago
@LuckyGuu I have literally never seen that in my entire life. I don't think other races like to adopt white babies so much
paschen2219 1 year ago
@LuckyGuu not nearly as the other way around.

If so, wasn't she also your real mother?
tmkpk 2 years ago 21
Yes that's true there are some birthparents unable to parent their child - but don't forget, adoption in the USA is a billion dollar industry. These agencies use very sneaky techiques to coerse young mothers into surrending their babies. They are a business, after all, and businesses operate solely to make a profit. The baby is a 'product', and the agency needs to supply their clients - aka potential adoptive parents. Sickening.
bauman11 2 years ago 8
so many things still go through my head as a result of being adopted. But ultimately I feel adoption is a good thing. I'm thankful I was adopted. To all those parents who adopted...bless you. You open your hearts to children who need good homes. You prove you don't need to be biologically related to a child to be considered a true mother or father to them. All it takes is an open mind and heart to love.

all theories are true in one case im handling, the adoptive parents told theie eldest son at the age of 16 which turned out positive and their daughter at the age of four which is also positive output
the courage must came from the adoptive parents and how they deal with it
it is normal for the adopted children to question where are their birth parents but it is in the adoptive parents upbringing for them that could make them feel secure
It is called the UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
AlexisCamille 3 years ago 27
adopted children are blessed children
God gave you to a couple who needed a child to be called a parent
and you are there a child who needed a parent to be called their son or daughter
and it makes a family
a reciprocal of love and care is the right formula
AlexisCamille 3 years ago 29

Adoption Sucks.
- adoptee
Sammicsno 3 years ago 27
This is what adoption is supposed to be about, taking care of the orphaned and abandoned children, Adoption should NEVER be about a young girl having an unplanned pregnancy and trying to convince her that she should not keep her baby .
Do your studies people Adoption industry is big business, remain objective and find the truth. Babies if they can should remain with their natural families, if that is not possible then adoption should be considered.
I am A first mom . Thank you
raffynjenny 3 years ago 29
Personally I don't like this way of thinking. I adopted my dtr so that we could have a child, not to "save" her or to feel good about myself. Attempting to induce pity is, well, pitiful.

FlowerBaby88 3 years ago 24
OK - I'm adopted too...but the the consequences of now finding my biological parents have far outweighed any benefits of my relationship to my adoptive mother who now hates them all and has burned all family bridges. What is wrong with the woman? She's my mother! how can she now disown me ?
Anyone else in the same boat?
Shaun17170 3 years ago 22

Wow, that is so great! I am adopted from Korea and I want to find my biological mother, but it is not easy for me to do that. Sadly, I don't speak Korean, and being a Korean who is adopted, I am seen as an outcast by many. My legal birthday is different from my actual birthday (unlike most, I know what it is, but I am embarrassed by it). I sometimes have guilty feelings that I was adopted and 143 million other orphans are not. Its time for us to hear the cries of these 142 million children

Hello Cauliflowerwill,
Thank you so much for pointing out the spelling error.

No, I have no problem with the message, I just think that it was presented in a slightly incorrect way.

Cauliflowerwill, I think you are wrong. As an adoptive parent I know I did not choose these children, just as I did not chose Christ.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
John 15:16
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:44

Oops, I accidentally gave this comment a thumbs-down; I totally meant to give it a thumbs-up, though.
