@cousinbecky I know, I hate how people can fall for it. They are so tiny because of the long line of starvation, early breeding, and inbreeding used to stunt their growth. They all come from puppymills and backyard breeders. I hope this one didn't, but most chi's do.

Trust me, I have tried putting weight on mine, but he insists on being 5 pounds, 3 ounces. He wasn't bred until he was four. Don't lump all of us into this 'most' you speak of-- there is a huge Chi community that takes breeding very seriously.

@TheChopsinator All my animals come from the shelter, there are plenty of them already out there. Since that beverly hill's movie came out the chi numbers on petfinder went from under 700 to about 8,000. That is a very large number of abandoned chi's. I know they're tiny, they are a part of the toy group after all. 5lb is a great weight for them, but people are breeding them in mass numbers to be even smaller. Unfortunately, more come out of backyard breeders and puppy mills then good breeders.

My little white Chihuahua was excitable like this little cutie, all through her life up through the age of 11. She was the happiest little dog I have every seen. Whenever I would come home she would come running then dance around in front of me, whipping her tail back and forth so hard that she'd bend herself in half, fall onto her side and then roll onto her back wriggling. She died 4.5 months ago and it still breaks my heart, but this little pup reminds me of the good times.
