@lawnsausages If you knew ANYTHING about physics, you would have come to that same conclusion based on the numbers provided in my comment Potential energy = Kinetic energy at launch = mass of the train * height of the maximum point of the track * acceleration due to gravity, or to simplify, PE = MGH, so 1/3 KG * 9.81 m/s^2 * 4m = 13.08J

I am curious, however, since you seem so convinced that this is fake, exactly how do you think I "faked" this? Rockets? Smoke and mirrors? Wizards?

Assuming a frictionless track and a train weight of 1/3 KG, it would take 13 joules to launch the train 12 feet in the air. Of course the track is far from frictionless, so let's be generous and double that energy to 26 joules. The average rubber band can supply about 2 joules of energy, and these were about twice as large as "average". There were 20 bands, so 20*4 = 80 joules. Way more than enough.

K'nex is a versatile building toy like lego. If you are interested then get some and start experimenting. I don't know where to buy it as I don't know where you live, but I suppose you can use google? Ebay is probably worth a try.

@777Rollercoaster777 My friend Sam and I built a 15 foot wide dome out of K'nex. The round pieces of the dome were modified to be the frame of the loop. The dome itself took one day to build, then another full day to modify for carrying K'nex track. Assembling and putting track on the loop took a third day, and yes, I did use a ladder.

Cool! But in real life the loop wouldn't be fully circular as the g forces would wreck your neck. The track is a little shakey but that isn't really an issue. Nice job! I actually like the structure of the loop! (PS Actual statistics of the ride are cool BTW!!!!)

@MRrollercoastermania I thought about that, but during construction the launch needed to be repositioned many times as the track was adjusted. when I finally did a test run, it made it through the entire track with plenty of speed left over, so I figured it didn't need it. It was not until I filmed it with my high speed camera that I realized the extent of the deflection.
