  • old world fruit bats new world insect eating bats ware do vampire bats fit in?

  • @garganrose I believe that vampire bats are of the Microchiroptera family which includes all small bats. But don't worry too much about them because there are only 3 species of vampire bat and they all live in central america. Also they only go after goats, sheared sheep, horses, cows etc. In other words easy prey that can't reach every part of their bodies like us humans, cats, dogs, wolves etc can, a vampire bat would have to be pretty stupid or desperate to attack one of us.

  • i already knew ALL the stuff on this video.still cool :D

  • cool i saved one from drowning once

  • I adore bats, and I'd love to be a volunteer for Bat World Sanctuary. During the summer last year, I was out on a lake for a week, and one night, I just happened to turn around and found myself watching tons of bats as they flew through the night and fed. It was a beautiful sight, and I couldn't stop smiling.

  • Wow!!! Very interesiting!!!! I learned alot from this!! :)

  • i love bats! and these ones are so cute! we love bat sanctuary!

is it possible to adopt a bat and keep it as a pet?

if so how can i get one? is there a website? what is it?

  • u can own 1 illegaly, other wise id own 1 to, some one breaks n2 ur house at night an sick the attack bat on him, lol

  • Lol thats a great idea! haha

I wish we could have one legally tho.. We can't have 1 illegally.. :(

  • Actually. If you love bats, build special bat houses for your yard. It will attract them and keep your yard bug free.

When I was young living in a very forested place we built houses to help keep the bugs down and they were awesome at their job

  • Bats are awesome! They're my favorite animals! One time, I had a bat swoop down and catch a mosquito that was right over my head. Most people would've been freaked out, but I was really happy. I don't live near any bats, I think, but if I did, I'd probably be a bat magnet (because I am also a mosquito magnet).
