I'd say, let the cat choose his/her diet. My cats like just as much wet as dry food. And they are really brand spesific. Only a certain brand of wet food and a certain brand of dry food. (I've tried giving them some of the "cheaper" stuff, but they just refuse to eat..) Also it's good to give cats some raw meat every now and then. But I do know cats that eat just dry food. Out of their own choice.

@Cxiimaya4eva Just depends on the cat. My cats didnt eat solid food until about 3 weeks after they were weaned. A kitten that I help rescue and raise started eating solid hard food at 8 weeks. Just depends.

If you want to feed your cats what they are designed to eat, grind up a few small birds and mammals and hey presto - natural healthy food. Failing that, try a mix of wet and dry - that is the best for long term health.
