He talsk about the race , he saw on the other ppl and saw that they were more tired as him.first he was on the fifth place but that was his tactick for trying to win.
INTERVIEWER: I have to say it again Petter, congratulations with a fabulous race.
PETTER: Well thank you for that. It was a tough 5-mile. And it went as I expected, both me and Cologna looked at each other the first few laps. When it all started to toughen up late in the 3rd lap then I saw that he was a little more tired than me, and already on the second sprint price when I took the first 15 points I saw that he wasnt as fresh as I thought.
PETTER: That was a good sign. It gave me the lift that I needed to have for the next laps
And with all the people present in the slope here today I got a tremendous support. I was sort of lifted around and they screamed so madly that I went with a sound in my ears the whole way through.
INTERVIEWER: You put in some sprints along the way, how much did that cost Petter? You also won a couple of those sprints and was no. 2 on one of the sprint prices.
PETTER: They costed a lot, but it got me many points and I let myself down a bit behind at the end there and took a 5th place, so tactically it was optimal for the race today.
INTERVIEWER: Underway, did you get information about how Cologna looked? You watched him a little bit yourself, but did you get reports during the race also?
PETTER: Yeah, there were some leaders there who was very eager and they counted the total World Cup points almost before we had past the first sprint price.
PETTER: They yelled into my ears on the penultimate lap that I led the World Cup and it was very motivating to hear.
INTERVIEWER: Now you will soon get the yellow leader jersey, you must say something about what you think about that?
PETTER: It's always special. I remember the first time in Lacroix, it was very special to stand there with the yellow jersey but now at the end of the season it means even more to get the yellow jersey, so now I'll do everything I can to defend it.
I love Petter Northug<33 I am swedish/danish so I understand almost everything he's saying.
