Totally kick-ass band but Cheap Trick came first...by virtue of the fact that they were touring as The Nazz in 1970...and Fuse in 1968...Todd Rundgren and the original lineup of The Nazz invented power pop in 1968...or was it The Idle Race or The Move or Emitt rhodes and The Merry-Go-Round...
Their best song (among many great ones). But you have to hear the original to truly appreciate it. This version, although good, lacks the raw energy of the studio version. Never played it for someone who didn't instantly love it.
There are not many bands that have that certain "flavor" that JUST SITS WELL.
What a good combination of players, playing and just good songs. A good front man is worth his weight in gold. Perfect rock and roll voice. I think I hear a little rod stewart in there. Bonus.
Another one to try is a band called Liar from England as well. Their best album is " Straight From The Hip". That one can be found on CD. It's from the late 70's or early 80's. Don't confuse them with the American Liar from just a few years back.
I thought I had commented on artfuldodgersite's thanking of the tip on Mr. Big's " Photographic Smile". Unfortunately, I only have it on vinyl, as I've never seen it on CD. Pezband can be bought on CD.
With YOUTUBE, you never can tell where the comment will appear on a reply. Sometimes they are in the right place, sometimes not.
I'll have to check some of my favorite used vinyl stores for a copy - you never know what you'll find. Thanks again for the tip and the album's title!
Very underrated as well as Pezband and Mr. Big {the British Band}, not the US band. Mr.Big's "Photographic Smile" and Pezband's self titled are as great as Artful Dodger's "Honor Among Thieves".
I can't take any credit for this video outside of converting it to WMV format and a little bit of audio mixing. This was shot back in 1980 at Cleveland's WEWS studios. One of the forum members was kind enough to send copies to the forum and the band members.
This video truly showcases the incredible energy and excitement of this amazing band!!!This song really is what they're all about. Eternal thanks, AJ...you've really OUTDONE yourself with this one!!! from Sammy
Wow, that's got to be $20.00 worth of 'roadie tape' on those drum heads! :O Lol

Thanks for the tip on Mr. Big (UK)!
I know of the Pezband, but I'll have to see what I can find on Mr. Big.
