you guys should look up these terms it will help you understand and I can understand him also I guess when you travel outside the US you understand not everyone has the same accent
I'm just starting off and bought an E Harp. I have a "Hohner Special 20, Marine Band". I still need to learn how to play single notes, but I am pretty sure I already have my bends down for a simple song like this.
When I play my harmonica, it doesn't sound so raspy; persay. It sounds somewhat plain and doesn't have a more rough sound? I guess....
Just wondering what might be wrong with it XD
Maybe it isn't broken in yet, or maybe it is broken?
If I wrote "bed" it was wrong and I mean "bend". Halfstep here means one semitone, but that is not very important information. The best is to listen to the tone I produce and try to copy that.
This is mostly for beginners. I hope I could inspire someone to buy thier first harp and try this. That would be great! More experienced harp players will find their own way to play this riff. I agree, what you suggested is a good next step. Another thing I don´t mention here is my favourite way to play it - by lowering the pitch one semitone in draw hole 3 and rising the pitch one semitone in drawhole 6. With that adjustment I can play all the great rock classics.
I discorverd your channel just a few minutes ago and I'm stunned by the stuff that you do.
I really appreciate the things that you play and also your explainings which will help me to improve my playing.(I'm just playing for a little bit more than a year...)

Can you please tell me some about how you think when you fatten up the sound.
For example. Why not play 1-2 draw, 2'-3' draw (3'-4'draw) 3-4 blow?

Hi Hakan,
do you use custom harmonicas or do you play them out of the box ?
MisterDespair 2 years ago
this one is out of the box.
If I use special tuning I use to have info about that in the video

Gotta love Deep Purple. I got to see them live twice (1999 and 2001) when I was a teenager! Thanks for sharing this!
