@winterstellar Depends on the situation I think, but if the police might meet lethal force from the rioters they must have the right to defend themselves (whatever reason the rioters have, a single policeman is never to blame for any situation leading up to it. He's just doing his job and wants to go home to his family).
In any case, there haven't been any shootings from the police in these riots afaik.
