@BushidoCode72 what abdoul said and you're in great position to pass the guard. However Marcelo Garcia has a variation where you can take the route of not following up, keep the arm trap and go for north south.
good sweep but on the first sweep when her paused before he came up instead of following him up into his guard you could easily move into side control after you sweep him by letting go of is leg and sitting up towards his head. i mean it depends how comfortable you are with passing his guard. if im confident i can pass his guard without getting swept id do that to score extra points. but if i don't want to risk it i would go straight to side control. just my 2 cents
@timmyboy714 i think youd be able to do several different things from tht first sweep... he just showed it as the sweep to an open guard with emphasis on now hes on top position.... just my two cents =)
Excellent sweep. I also wanted to drop my two cents in. Often times when you are rolling with higher belts they anticipate and arm drag by posting on the same side leg as the arm being dragged. This move would act as an excellent counter in such a circumstance.
VERY NICE ! but with the one from the x-guard i find it difficult to pull the arm as all of his weight is on his hands at that point .. any tips on that ?
thank you for showing the technique, the move is very sharp and clear , in your method,of course i will have to watch this at least a 100 times to learn, thank you for showing us how to do this
Why would you do such a complex guard sweep only to wind up in the guard

It looks like you could go into an electric chair when he is pulled on top of you, especially if he pulls his arm out. I think I might try that.

also, when he rolls before mounting @ 1:06 he can finish w/ kneebar he just has to swing right leg around his opponents left leg

1:03 knee bar looked like an option but i do realize the legs arnt locked.. just throwing it out there

i learned this at the Vale Tudo Bullpen seminar, it's sweet, and I've used it and caught a lot of the upper belts with it.
