Pfft, like you can tell at that resolution! But you are probably right, I was terrible at soldering back then. Now I am pretty good and actually have a proper soldering station.

  • Can you list the items used in the process, in plain english along with the tamiya product code, because I really want to know the R/C controller used in that.

  • @Xod3ing

Quiver had to stay under the 1 pound weight limit, thats why I had to use plastic over metal. He was never a very good robot though still..

  • @slider7w can u give a list of parts needed

  • @slider7w * She was never a very good robot.

  • srry man mine is just thicker but like the touch of the spinner srry i realy liked

  • You shouldn't drive and video, its poor practice

  • how long did it take to make

  • @ slider&w

i kinda a newb about this and was wondering how easy it is to connect all the cables and wires and was wondering if you could do a video on how to do it using the same components. if you could do that it would be a tremendouse help to me thx

  • what kind of material is that?

  • @carterbez35

POlycarbonate is the clear stuff. The yellowish stuff is called 'garolite'

  • where did u get the drive motors

  • that robots awsome you shoul add a nuematict

    flipper.

WATS UP WITH ALL THE CANS? LOL

  • @JakeLeonard123 i mean pneumatic lol

  • Dude cool robot. Nice car. Man your right that shop is so messy.

  • @Gr3g251 Not sure if I totally understand but...

You would have to open one servo, and reverse the motor connections. Put it back together and then splice the two servos signal wires together going to the receiver.

  • I think I solved your brushless motor problem. That Hacker motor you wer trying to use was an outrunner, meaning the exterior of the motor spins. Try using an inrunner, like the Traxxas Velenon 370 or the Castle Creations Mini Mamba or Sidewinder 280.

  • Nothing wrong with using an outrunner, I've used them successfully. I think it was a bad wire connection inside the motor.

  • Ok.

Lets see... Is the ESC a Castle Creations Phoenix? I've heard that they sometimes need to be reprogrammed before use.

  • lol, so you was thinking about a robot,

and you go to work and WHOOPS you know everything about it? lol

  • thats awsome :)

  • how much do you want for this? also you should make a vid of all your bots,

  • nice but when u solder u shouldnt drink or eat....dont wanna die ;)

  • haha... tingly :D

  • I own a robot fighting league and what a perfect homeade robot my league is called the ghettoh junkbot fighting but its more than junkbots theres a few kitbots by the way you can watch my videos im uploading 3 new fights tonight good day and good luck biulding robots

  • lol we have the samew bandsaw!

  • 20 latas puya

  • NICE CAR XD

  • what shop did you go to?

  • did you make this robot

  • nice work! what kind of motor controllers (and other electronics) did you use between the receiver and motors? I have a similar project that I'm making

  • lol, the cans part was hillarious. doesn't it scratch the floor?

  • Yeah, it does scratch the floor but its supposed to to keep other robots from getting underneath it. I don't drive it on the hardwood floor. :P

  • whats the song at the end?

  • Start Something by lostprophets.

  • omg put a hammer on top that can swing around.

  • where do u get dat stuf

  • ebay.

  • Now you just have to add a machine gun on top of it

  • identify fail... they're cans lol

  • Beastly!

  • What rc system did you use? Some modified futaba thing or a sabertooth or what? Awsome bot by the way.

  • The radio was a Hitec Ranger 3 witha Cirrus 6 channel receiver. The speed controller was a (now discontinued) Scorpion HX from Robot-Power.

  • Isn't the Ranger 3 a 3 channel transmitter? Why'd you use a 6 channel receiver?

  • The Cirrus was way cheaper and lighter than the stock Hitec 3 channel receiver. I don't know of any good cheap 75MHZ 3 channel receivers.. but then again I haven't looked very hard.

  • nice car

  • i have a question do you now a good roboter site .and of the site you learn how to build a fight robot schick a email on my acount

  • bad ass

  • i want one o.O

  • how much did this thing cost?

  • I'm going to guess about $300

  • I planned to make one like this but it's to expensive for me. Thank you thou

  • ThE HeXaGoN RuLeZ!

  • you like those motors dont you i used them for a school robot. they are really great for withstanding weight. That company is just really great. let me know where you order your parts from. id like to look

    thanks

  • NERDs are cool as long as ur not one that play computer games all the time XD nice robert man

  • hes not a nerd

  • where did you get the transparant things

  • Its polycarbonate, you can probably get some locally from a glass or window business.

  • NeRdS are KoOl

exsepted u! =) IM ONE MEHSLEF

  • cool..but i donno where the stuff sale???

  • try ebay

  • pretty cool where can i get that stuff im from netherlands :)

  • r u nerd

  • you are a N E R D

  • You're one of three hip band members?

  • i dont get why peaple ar scared to be nerd... if you nerd youl probly do sommeting of your life.... to: badboyplayerxxx

  • It's just another small group of people to fight that you know you can beat. It's where most labels come from. Dig deeper and there's jealousy.

Though badboyplayerxxx has built a K'nex gun, perhaps he is being ironic in this instance lol

  • Those things are tasty.

  • coooooolllllllll

  • you set one motor to turn cw, and onother to ccw, thats how you get robot to turn!

at least I do it like that!

  • what is

    cw and ccw?!!

  • clockwise and counterclockwise

    (I think)

  • Correct.

  • its that

  • if there on opposite sides, dont u get both to spin the same way??

  • nhh... you can pot 4 weels and only control thayr speed's... terning the left weels faster to turn right and the right one's to turn left.. it's way, way faster.

  • where did u buy the parts from?

  • how do you program the robot to turn

  • I use radio control so I don't program it.

  • watch out for that exposed belt drive on your weapon.... one quick cut and your drums useless

  • im making a similar robot, but it uses servos for the motors. how can I make the servos spin opposite directions for steering? it just goes forward and reverse, need help!

  • For tank style two wheeled steering you will have to use a separate channel on your radio for each servo. You can spin in place by making one servo go forward and one servo going backward at the same time. So usually you would set it so that you are pushing one stick up and one stick down.

  • ok, but im using a helicopter radio and the left throttle stick has no spring, I dont know if I can make it so the left servo goes in reverse.

i will go and test it right now.

  • it worked, but the left stick is backwards, i need to reverse the control. anyway, thank you! that the problem thats been holding me back,:)

  • Thats good. I have heard of some people taking apart their radios and modifying the left stick to be spring loaded but I have not tried it. I either use left/right direction of sticks or preferably using a mixer to steer with just the right stick. If you have a fancier radio this feature may be built in.

  • a mixer? Im using the radio from my Blade CX2,

    can I get a mixer?

  • how old r u?ur very talented.i luv ur robot.

  • 21 now... I think 17 or 18 when I built that one.

  • if i take apart enough random stuff i wonder if ill have enough parts to make a robot o.o just bigger...and with like...guns and shit c[:< lol

  • Thank you for the reply, it's fucking awesome your fighting bot XD

    And I'll have a look..

    Nice video ;) 5/5

  • Thanks. :) Building a robot like that now is way cheaper than it was a few years ago. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

  • a hacker motor is over the 100$ ???

  • Haha, the robot was taken apart a long time ago so there is nothing to sell. Some brushless motors can be expensive but for fighting robots you can find some awesome cheap motors/electronics/batteries at hobbycity.. google it.

  • I want to buy your little robot!

    250$ exl.

  • this inspired me! to do... stuff?

    lol this is a gr8 video! 5/5

  • wicked antweight battlebot man!

  • hey send some money to my paypal nickjoekevin40 and i well put your co. name on the battle bot
