@theombarnes For the right person, a chin is a great pet. They can live 15-20 yrs. "Bathing" them is awesome (look up videos!). The cost adds up over the yrs (cages, food, hay, toys, dust) so they are an investment. She hasn't been a lot of work for me. A perk? Thy are hypoallergenic! I got her b/c I was allergic to cats and bunnies. Don't get one from Petco though. Find a breeder. :)

Yes they are cute etc, but they are NOT pets. They belong in the wild, no matter where you keep them they are GLIDERS they do not deserve to be locked up in a cage, even if you let them out it is not the same as their natural environment. Please, think of the animal's well-being and happiness before purchasing something because you think they are cute/cool. If you care fro them, appreciate them in the wild.

Yes they adapt, many animals "adapt", doesn't make them happy. I think you can keep them if you can simulate their natural environment, so do you have large trees that grow in the bushland with an open sky and a stretch of more than 150m? Because that is the distance they can glide in the wild.
