Its alright girl we know your glamours much love and thanks, I'm getting micros in Dec. I have not had them in 12 yrs. Before that I would get them every 2yrs I would get braids to let my hair rest, and take them down 1 by 1 b/c didn't know any better! So thanks for this video b/c the other ones was not showing how to take out braids that had slip knots in them.

o.e im getting micros.. ( for da 4 time.. not in a row.. ), for skool...i only hate it wen i have to take them out.. wen i first got meh micros, i decided to brush the whole entire thing out with water.. ( only took meh an hour for the whole head.. BIGGEST mistake i ever made... i pretty much brushed all my real hair out... thank god it grew back though.. lol

Hey PhillyDiva, have you used the Take Down Remover Cream. Micro braids are so beautiful but most people are scared to get them due to the removal process. The product really will save your hair and time-especially around the sides of your hair.

ok. love this video. I am currently wearing micros for protective styling. In the past, it has taken me 3 days to take all the micros out!!!! I am also impressed by the board you made in the background! Currently i have my earrings in ice trays and my necklaces are just in shoe boxes. Think about making a video on how to make that!!! what do i do if the knots are above where my natural hair ends? how do u take out the knots then. will the conditioner help with that?

This is a great method thanks for sharing :) but i am so sad I can't use it :( my hair is to long. Seeing this makes me want to do a big chop when taking micros out lol it takes forever doing it one by one.

what if the end has nail glue on it?

you will either have to cut the hair right before where its glued or not use this method and take out each strand...quick tip...never let a braider put glue onto the hair...tell them to do slip knots and if they dont know what slip knots are, go to a more experienced braider!

sure...as long as the hair is not matted or locked up...I would suggest leaving the conditioner on for about hour prior.

Hi, Great vid. I'm getting micros for the first time on Sunday. My question is, my hair is 10". Although my hair is long, can i still do micros? I have to give my hair a break from relaxers or just might transtion all together.

Any advice you provide would be greatly appreciated.

yes,my hair was 12-14" long before I did my big chop and I wore weaves, wigs, braids all the time...it just takes longer to do b/c your hair is longer and they may or may not charge more depending on who does it.

I'm so disappointed, this didn't work for me! I may have done it wrong though, and I had the micros in for 4 months so they didn't slide out.

4 months...omg...girl you lucky those braids came out and your hair didn't lock up. Why do you keep them for so long?

I Just took my micros out like this on saturday...I used my hair mayo from organics..I added an egg and olive oil...I figured Id kill 2 birds with one stone....saturate my braids and give my self a protein treatment...then when I was done I washed with ur baking soda rinse!!! O my!!! wonderful results!!!

I just took mines down....I had them up for 2 months...I got so much growth, but no BC yet....right now Im just trying to do co washes and twists...

I kept them in for just 1 month...normally I keep them in for 2 months but you right- I had so much new growth so I had to remove them.
