wow, the barrel seems to lock up like in the real gun! does this matter in an airsoft gun? it's the gas that does the blowback and not the recoil so it does not have to be locked?

the blowback action makes the gun semi auto. pulls the firing pin back which instead of hitting the back of a bullet, in airsoft it hits the back of the mag which is were the gas release button is. The slide also chambers another bb and the slide will lock when the mag is empty.

thats why the barrel and guide moved up and down. they are plastic. which isn't a bad thing. plastic isn't as temperature afected like metal is.

airsoft guns are sooooo "real" ( like a real gun).... the ones here are fake chinese and the bullets go when air is pushed form behind and u have to cock it for every bullet and its plastic so it breaks so easily

You obviously don't know much about airsoft. The one in the video is probably full metal or mostly metal, and uses gas to make the blowback action. The pistol is semi automatic and far from your plastic Wal-Mart guns. Btw, search up AEG and you'll see.

The blowback (or recoil as you call it) is the automatic cocking of a weapon. The only reason for that is so that another bb can be loaded.

exactly, this is the definition of a semi-automatic pistol. Instead of using the recoil force from an explosion, airsoft guns use compressed gas to cycle the action. On a side note this guy looks like he's flinching (pulling down in anticipation), or the blowback is causing a muzzle drop.

The only reason for the blowback in a bb gun is for making it seem more realistic. it has nothing to do with loading.

actually it does make it re-chamber a round and yes it does add realism but it also adds functionality.
