  • does it need a data package. and can you charge this phone without the dock

  • @YamiAlex224 You can charge without the dock and you can do not need a data package.

  • does this phone need a data package

  • Hi, I know it has been some time since you reviewed this item. I have been trying to find out whether or not this device has threaded text messaging.

  • @QuippyQuipster This device has no threaded text messaging.

  • Where is the volume button?

  • @darkhero12345 The volume button is on the side of the phone on the bottom half of it.

  • loving this chicks hands

  • can you record videos while under water with this phone ?? im getting it just because of that feature.

  • @JPiiiX If you do a lot of underwater videos, I would recommend you going with waterproof camera. I would not suggest video tapping underwater for any length of time because the waterproof is there in case you drop it in water. Not so much intended for use underwater.

  • @WirelessZone thx 4 the advice.^^

  • @JPiiiX No problem! Thank you more for the support :)

  • Can you install or add custom ringtones? google maps?

  • @idlehands28 Yes to the custom ringtones. You can do that through Myxer with almost any phone. As far as Google Maps, you would need a data plan for that feature. Google has many mobile apps, but they do not work as successfully as they do on a smartphone.

  • No offense, but could you cut your nails? Also my brother is looking for a durable flip phone that is simple and has some features for when he wants to use them, so would you/ people who have in it on here recomend this phone to him. Also is the phone water resistant as drop it in cup of water or the little dots of water get on it?

  • Respond to this video...I used the phone for about 6 mos so I don't know if you want my opinion but I think this is a fantastic phone. Its called water resistant-which to me it can get wet, but here's the text from their website: SHOCK & WATER RESISTANT Built for all types of environments, the Exilim Mobile is shock resistant (to last through life's mishaps) and can even survive underwater.

Read about 1/2 way down this page, other people have commented on it h2O proof-ness.

  • does this phone sort messages by contacts or time? is ther an option?

  • i am getting this phone in two days i am a big time music person would i like it????

  • @Tiger6470 It does have a music player but it's not dedicated to playing music like some others are.

  • @WirelessZone Do you know of any applications or fixes for the poor (music) sound quality (when headphones are in use)?

  • @Tiger6470 according to a CNET review from 2009 if you download music from the phone it includes a company for PC download.

  • I just ordered mine and it should be here Tuesday. Thanks for the video. I am super excited about this phone. Am upgrading from a Verizon LG Voyager...I hated that phone.

  • do you think someone would get sick of this phone quickly?

  • @tombradysucks18 I didn;t and I had it for a long time. It all depends how much of a gadgety phone you want.

  • Respond to this video... @WirelessZone absolutely yes,,,,in my country this phone coldnt track any signal from the sim card,,,,and more over the phone is locked mode,,,,nedd key code to unlocked it,,,,and of course it's impossible to unlocked it,,,except we know the code,,,,so,,,,can i reinstall the phone?

  • can i get software to unlocked the phone????because i got locked casio exilim phone from sombody who sold it to me....

  • @freebowo619 I have never heard of software to unlock a feature phone. Are you trying to use it on another network?

  • this is a cool looking phone but unless you're really into taking pictures with your cell then i think its not a good choice. half the appeal is just that cool flip screen feature.

  • This lady makes me chuckle =)

  • Yay!! I really want this can I get at a verizon store???

  • lol i happen to be a big fan of 24. too bad jack bauer and the rest of the 24 characters only uses sprint phones.

  • Is this phone worth the $10 because I want a camcorder but than I saw this and my upgrade is comming up. I am big on text and perfer a qwerty but can get along with out it. Also is the Reality any good?

  • I just ordered one of these no data plan required.

  • @friendofCHAKA Oh cool. I looked it up in Verizon's guide and they have it listed as a multimedia device and those require data plans. So they either dropped it on that device or you got lucky!

  • @WirelessZone actually if you read caefully it says "9.99 data package or higher optional" where the others just say the datapackage price.so i think the exilim's data package might be optional

  • I'm getting this phone because it became a "feature phone" on verizon and it is now $50. How snappy is the user interface?

  • @BOXoCRAYONS7973 I don't know if I'd call it snappy! It's a nice phone though, the User interface is just like all Verizon Feature phones with a cool theme.. I used it for about 6 months. It takes great pix and has good call quality.

  • where can you still get one of these?

  • They aren't being made anymore but somneone is bound to still have some in stock. Wireless Zone did carry them so if you have any local to you, I would start there. If you go to our website wirelesszonedotcom, check the store locator and see if any are local to you.

  • @lacevmusic

maybe @BOXoCRAYONS7973 can tell you where it is for $50

  • @WirelessZone

THANKS SO MUCH FOR REPLYING EVEN AFTER THIS LATE WHEN THEY PUT A GOOD DEAL, THANKS!

    I'll be subscribing. =)

  • What is your current price, as internal memory has capacity and as external memory has TV? have GPS?

  • Did they take this phone off the market???this phone got a lot of Neg. Reviews especially with the call quality but It's no longer at verizon wireless....wonder what happen...

  • I used one for quite some time. Its an awesome phone as far as I'm concerned. And it can get wet so I love to take it kayaking because its a 5MP and it takes great pictures. It was on Verizon Wireless' site last week so it has only been removed in the last couple of days.

  • Thanks for answering me, Great Review! I have the phone myself and people have a hard time understanding me, I was looking for another 5mp phone without the data plan and I Noticed this phone wasn't available..Thanks again

  • No problem, and thanks! The Omnia original and Omnia II, and the Motorola Droid are all smartphones with a 5MP camera and they all have flash.

  • Nice phone, sexy hands!

  • wow u kinky pervert

  • Is it really waterproof?

  • Yep. I work at a verizon store. Its capable of taking pictures underwater up to 3 meters deep for 15 min. Trust me...i've tried :)

  • But the thing is like $350 dollers. So I got the Alias 2 because everybody gets the enV3 and because the Alias 2 has a Keyboard that changes. From Verizon.

  • they had a tank of water at the verizon store???!!!

  • Hahaha.. great review... i laughed so hard when that character was on there, and you're like.. "Not sure what that is"... haha... but great review.. i love all your reviews! :)

  • resistant and proof is two different thing, if its resistant it will put off those rain drops or maybe a splash of water, but if its going down into the pool or into a cup of water.. say bye bye ! but anyway .. cool cam, errr.. i mean phone ! great review

  • the myway picture that you saw with a bunch of other characters are MMS, i was wondering if you could swivel it to the other side opened and snap a picture of yourself without closing it? also went on Ebay to see if anyone was selling it, but no luck . hows the cam quality ?

  • Its 5.1 Megapixels! {:

  • Cam quality is fantastic. Its a 5.1 MP.

Also, you can flip the screen to take a picture of yourself. The only thing us, it winds up upside down!

Its very new, which is maybe why you aren't seeing any on ebay yet.

  • where did you get that ? is it going to be for asia market ?

  • Its available for Verizon Wireless. Don't know about Asia market. I don't get a whole lot of info for markets other than US.

  • its and old phone from the asian market, look up the sh9020c to see something a little more current, sh-06a if you want new releases

  • Is this water PROOF or water RESISTANT ? Ya know like you can chuck this in a pool ? Or ...rain =/ ?

  • Yes, and it is shock resistant...

  • so FULLY water resistant ? sickk i though it might be like a lil water like if your out in the rain or some bullshit

  • Its called water resistant-which to me it can get wet, but here's the text from their website:

    SHOCK & WATER RESISTANT

Built for all types of environments, the Exilim Mobile is shock resistant (to last through life's mishaps) and can even survive underwater.

Personally, if you chucked it in a pool, I'd grab it back out pretty quick like!

  • hah yeah i really didn't think it could survive underwater. KNowing me i would have to take it to verizon for water dammage. =)

  • Yes, we must not forget it is also a phone!!!

  • can u multi task on this phone?

like listen to music while u stay on the main screen?

  • No, you can only listen to the player in the player screen. as soon as you exit that screen, the music stops. Two cool thing I did find though, the small display on the front shows the song and time status when playing music. You can turn the flip around (like you would is using it in camera mode) and listen with it closed so you can see the player screen.

  • thanks

and another question i just thought of

can u watch videos with the screen rotated?

cuz my voyager has me spoiled with that but im upgrading to this in august.

  • I am still checking on that. I just activated the phone the other day so I will get to that in the next day or so.

  • No, and I am really shocked. I played the video, flipped the screen and the moment I closed it (so the screen was in the position it would be for the camera) it stopped playing. Real bummer. I thought for sure it would keep playing. Sorry!

  • well that sucks.thanks anyway

but im just gonna go with the ENV3.ive read nothing but good reviews on it.plus i txt alot so its my best option.thnks anyway.keep up the good reviews.

  • Thanks so much!

  • Thanks for the review. I have two questions, can the keypress sound be changed? Also it looks like there is an LED indicator when you turn it on, can that be used for missed call and new message alerts?

  • The keypress volume can be turned down or off altogether. Are you referring to the area in the front where the time shows up? I do not think that shows anything other than the time, battery status and signal strength. Although I'm not 100% sure. I read the instr. manual cover to cover and they make no mention of getting an indication on the screen of missed calls etc. Also, this is not an activated phone or I would have just called it to see.

  • And now, I am second guessing myself altogether because I am testing out the music player to answer the next question to see if it can multitask (it can't) BUT the display in the front has the song title scrolling across the front along with a status line to show the song's timing. So maybe that screen has more packed into than I give it credit for.

  • I turned on the Exilim this morning and realized what you are referring to. I originally thought you were talking about the display on the front of the phone but there is in fact an LED in the corner that blinked blue and green. I'm willing to bet that you don't have to program it, it is probably there for alerts since it doesn't look like there is room for any on the small display in front.

  • how do u use it with those huge nails?

  • Hhahah what a jerk =] don't ever stop

  • This phone would have been perfect if it had a full QWERTY keyboard.

  • this video is over ten minutes and you still didn't demonstrate the camera! Video is too long and boring, try to be more succinct. Cool product though, learned more about it from the Casio website...

  • Thanks for your opinion, but I plan to do a video on just the camera because it has so many features. I'd rather be more thorough and make several videos than barely explain each feature in less than ten minutes. Or I can do a thirty minute review and divide it into 3 parts like everyone else does. I get far more compliments than complaints so I think I'll keep doing it the way I am.

  • I agree with you. I also do reviews, and hardly fit in 10 minutes. I'd like to say about this and that ... [From Russia whith love]

  • i hid that jerk =]

  • Thanks! but it's probably become unhid because I just had to ask him why he has one of my reviews as a favorite on his page if they are so awful.

  • Ignore bad reviews,i like your videos :) Plus they are really useful too so there :P And your nails aren't annoying, its 2009 people have nails like that!!

  • Thanks. I'm glad you like the vids. I just really don't understand why all the nail hype. Maybe they look longer than they are on the skinny videos. I really don't think they warrant all the comments. Oh well. At least I get some good feedback from people like you to make it worthwhile. Thanks again :)

  • i am going to be honest with u. ur finger nails r annoying and u do awful reviews:)

  • Then why do you have one of my reviews as a favorite on your page? Hmmm. That's strange.

  • haha. u just owned him!

  • ...wait...lol was he kidding, he has a smiley face next to it! Or maybe they're just like "take that bitchh"

  • idk. i think he was trying to leave a bitchy remark. maybe he'll post another comment if he wants to get owned again. go wireless zone! keep up the good work!

  • cool
