Every single little league has kids like this. I umped for 2 years and they were above average with "good velocity" for their age, and automatically thought they were entitled to strikeouts every time that they pitched. Needless to say, they don't get them when its a decent ump...

Umm. Is this how fast and tall the kids normally are in his league? This makes me feel like I was playing ball with a bunch of kids on steroids. Some were taller than the coaches and threw like they were paid to throw as fast as they could. I was just as fast but less wild. It felt like you were hit at least twice a game. A was bruised even more than the year I played football, and I had pads when I was in football atleast.

hes not throwing hard but anyone can hit someone who throws hard. 2 strike approach. bealeave it or not yuba city highschool beat vance worly the phillies pitcher. he went 1 and 5 agained Yuba City and he was throwing in the 90's. all we or YC did was use 2 strike approach. shorten up and widen up ur stance, and just make contact. just let the hard thrower supply the power. thats it.

For those that do follow LL baseball, you will know that most good kids can hit a good fastball and that location, accuracy and the ability to change speeds is the key to good pitching. To those who say they can throw 10x as fast, the gun put his fastball at 71 mph which at LL distances is the equivalent of a 93mph in MLB
