theres a game genie code that if u lvl u still have all the exp you earend and and gives u double the exp so last episode when u lvled once i lvled like 10 times

Geldarms are enemies from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. They are slender, worm like creatures found exclusively in the deserts on the western continent. They are white in color and their only weak points are their heads. Just to clarify, the reason you would skip putting the crystal in, is because placing it gives you a free level, whether it's 5 xp or 5000 xp. Some people prefer to save the crystals for where they can give you more xp. Alternatively, once your levels are all maxed at 8 you can save up 9000 xp to get an extra life.

You don't have to beat the bosses to progress. You just need the items. You can beat them all at the end when your levels are maxed. Plus you get a rare 1-up with each crystal. But now with save states lives aren't much of a problem for the final castle.

I have a question for anybody who wants to answer, if you forget to get a certain item in the dungeon palace, and you finish it, does it still turn to stone, even if you didn't get the item? Like if you forgot the bow in this first palace, would it still have turned to stone?

I usually exit the palace without putting the crystal on it, so i can come back and grab free experience when i need it

I've never really understood this; why wouldn't you grab the free experience as soon as possible? I always just make sure to fight enough enemies in the palace so that the crystal will give you 1000/2000/3000 etc. Usually leveling your attack since it costs you the most.

the birds in the swamp are mobies and are awesome for building exp. they only give like 2 exp, but there's an unlimited number of them. all you need is a turbo controller and something heavy to put on the button and you can walk away while link keeps killing them. i used to leave it going all night while i'd sleep and i'd have a free level in the morning =D
