She did an adequate job acting, I wasn't pulling high hopes for her. The camera gave her the bare minimum for face time, even during a lot of her lines. But her acting mediocrity was more than made up for by her ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL singing voice.

this movie is actually not a musical! it hasn't been labelled as such and I agree, they just sing alot, there is no actual singing mixed with the acting as is the concept of a musical. you don't get the odd, what-the-hell, feeling of a typical musical when they sing at the most inappropriate times and places. it's like a combination between step up and fame (with the singing and the dancing), non of which is a musical ;)
