  • neat!

  • really nice dude

  • @vfordv Thanks man -even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then :-)

  • why do you have the same rods do you do boat drives

  • @crazykid9919 The rods are the same because Walmart had the combos on sale for 19.95 - an they break down (which is what I needed in order to back the boat under my shed's limited height). I have never done a boat drive that I know of... I'm guessing a "boat drive" is like a "deer drive" ?

  • I LIKE THAT ,THANKS......

  • great ideas love it

  • good thinkin on the foam top. I'm going to use that for my muskie rod storage in my barn. great job man!!!

  • Nice job on the rod holders !

  • Well done!

  • thats one of the coolest things ive ever seen!!! im making one in shop now!

  • Nice holders. Do they get in the way very much when driving? Easy to see through them I guess.

  • @clewi1091 Since the rods break in half they are below my sight level. However, most of the time the rods are in the rod holders on the rail when we are running up wind to begin another drift. We do stow them in the storage holder (as seen in this video) when we return to the boat launch but so far I haven't noticed them getting in the way. Anyhow, thanks for the comment, hope you have a great Spring !

  • @clewi1091 That's a great idea using those Styrofoam noodles, great job & thanks for the idea's.

  • very clever

  • @dennisvanhoose Thank you Dennis ... hope you don't mind if I quote you on that to my wife ! ;-)

  • nice video

  • @Crimsontide798 Thanks Crimsontide. Roll Tide, Roll !

  • DO YOU ACTUALLY LIKE THOSE KIND OF REELS?

  • @lucasmorter My wife catfishes with me most of the time and she likes the reels because of their simplicity - and I don't have to spend time untangeling her bird nest. I like the reels for several reasons: they have bait clickers; the drag adjust is at the 12 oclock position and the price of the rod and reel combo is $19.95 at Wallmart. When we catfish, we spider rig and drift with 6 poles/lines in the water so having everything inexpensive and simple helps bring the fish onboard.

  • @JimbowT OH I HEAR THAT. ALWAYS GOOD TO MAKE FISHING SIMPLE WHEN THERE ARE LADIES PRESENT

  • jimbo are you using a 2x4 there?

  • @who911 - It is made from a 1X6 cedar fence pickett .

  • Love it and it was really neat.

  • that is nice man good job

  • i just built this today in my garage, works great, allot better than any pvc home built rack.

  • very nice job

  • _ I have been looking for an inexpensive way to build rod holders for the boy scout camp this is the least expensive and appears to be the best way to hold some poles - we are building 4 of these to accomodate the Dock fishing - thanks for the help !!!

  • BigJasce, Thanks for the comment. Hope the holders serve you well. Tight lines to you and the Boy Scouts!

  • that is cool

  • Looking good!!!

  • hey thanks for giving me some ideas, love the vid
