@crazykid9919 The rods are the same because Walmart had the combos on sale for 19.95 - an they break down (which is what I needed in order to back the boat under my shed's limited height). I have never done a boat drive that I know of... I'm guessing a "boat drive" is like a "deer drive" ?
@clewi1091 Since the rods break in half they are below my sight level. However, most of the time the rods are in the rod holders on the rail when we are running up wind to begin another drift. We do stow them in the storage holder (as seen in this video) when we return to the boat launch but so far I haven't noticed them getting in the way. Anyhow, thanks for the comment, hope you have a great Spring !
@lucasmorter My wife catfishes with me most of the time and she likes the reels because of their simplicity - and I don't have to spend time untangeling her bird nest. I like the reels for several reasons: they have bait clickers; the drag adjust is at the 12 oclock position and the price of the rod and reel combo is $19.95 at Wallmart. When we catfish, we spider rig and drift with 6 poles/lines in the water so having everything inexpensive and simple helps bring the fish onboard.
_ I have been looking for an inexpensive way to build rod holders for the boy scout camp this is the least expensive and appears to be the best way to hold some poles - we are building 4 of these to accomodate the Dock fishing - thanks for the help !!!
them thats nice never think about that lols i have like 30 poles lols thx

Nice holders. Do they get in the way very much when driving? Easy to see through them I guess.
