This as shown should require more than four 8 foot pieces to build. 4x36" + 4x23.5" + 3x24" + 3x34" is 34.33 feet four 8 foot boards would give you only 32 feet and that assumes you have no waste pieces. The three and two feet cuts should leave very little waste but it would still require a fifth 2x3 eight footer I believe.
@umdterp999 Yeah, these measurements work well for an average size guy and girl. I am 5'10 and my girlfriend is 5'6 and it works perfect. We put the bracing on the outside so that we could do pull ups that you see at 1:35. Have fun!
@jimbobslee What are the dimensions of this station? if you don't mind me asking. I'm looking to get one to bump up my summer workouts. I'm about 5'5 would this station work for me?
@Hinote6713 The dimensions are all at the end of the clip...it is probably just best to watch the end and pause each angle as your draw it out. It is pretty simple to follow. Let me know if you still need a hand.
Yo man, my father and I used your idea for this type of dip bar and we made a solid similar version of the way you made yours...we had all the supplies layin around the house to make it...we didn't spend a dollar...thanks for the help, peace
It works but the bracing you have there isn't bracing much. It should be on the inside of the frame, not the outside, to perform at full potential. Inspirational, thanks!
thx for the excellent vid man, I agree with you, the PVC i see on here are much more expensive. this looks like it will hold up my weight (152lb) and still not break my wallet.
I use two chairs.. it means I can adjust the length and change the focus from chest to triceps ;)

Using basic geometry I have estimated 34 inches on the angled diagonal cross support bars. Can you confirm this?
