Napster failed because all the servers were run by one company. Bittorrent has no central server so in essence there is no way to stop it. IRC not too many people know how to use so no one bothers reporting it. Besides if youtube removes ALL copyrighted content (if they can do it fast enough), someone will just make a site hosted outside the U.S. that doesn't have the same copyright laws. (Just look at the piratebay.)

While commendable that you support user made independant projects, I think it's extremley unfair to try to push that belief on other people by intimidating people to take videos off YouTube.
