@PalmyBruce there are bunch of multiple vid players in market. my favorite player to play any kind of formats is QQ player. it also can play .flv and even HD video, (no need to compress resolution before transfer to the phone), this player will straightly let us watch it.

Ok I am jealous lol, the European Verison of the Galaxy S has front facing camera. I don't have that on America's Verizon Wireless Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate (sch-i500). Only the Epic 4G has it.

@88Ronalds my friend has a galaxy s with 2.2 and apparently there is a problem with the task manager and with some applications (not 100% sure) that still run after you close them. i suggest downloading a task manager from android market.

@tazmyk63 connect the usb > select samsung kies(but u wont be using it) > then in my computer it will appear as i9000, select explore or double click then u can access it as a u would any other external drive

I've got this phone and still no update on gay T-Mobile.. Also, its crap to type on, as you can see from the guy can't type on it.. Fix it Samsung, its a pain, I can do it on my iphone with no mistakes, this phone is horrible to type on.. Apart from that and the dreadful lag, its a good phone.
This is the biggest heap of rubbish phone I have ever owned, and the new 2.2 upgrade has more bugs than my garden, it is an absolute piece of crap, the battery lasts 5 hrs at best. the screen freezes on every application, I advise every one to stay away from this phone, it is rubbish.
@MrSwm19 It's the greatest phone i've ever had. I've owned the sony ericsson satio, iphone 3gs, sony ericsson vivaz and some more not worth mentioning, the thing is the galaxy s is so much better. I have battery time for 48 hours on average use, never freezes, fastest phone i've ever used.
I just upgraded to 2.2. Looks great but there is a few annoying things.. like few of my live wallpapers,widgets gone, and mms doesn't work (no, not the settings..) when you set it up it works,but when you turn the pocket data off and then turn it on again it stops sending and receiving mms.after a factory reset and retyping all the setting it worked again then same thing happened. :(
I have the Samsung Epic...it rocks!!! It does stock what jailbroken iphones do lololol. I am however still waiting for froyo. I heard somewhere that sprint was releasing the update on Nov 29, 2010...have you guys heard differently?

I have found that Eclair (2.1) is much more stable, however, this is only a ROM so I'm sure once the Official T-Mobile/Samsung update come out it will be faster and more stable.

yeah but megapixels are irrelevant in this case. I have both phones in the family and the galaxy s shoots far better pictures and especially video. Dont forget that although the lil bit difference in pixels, the galaxy s has a MUCH more vibrant screen, nothing can compete with omaled screens yet, so the contrast between the colors is amazing and the led lights can be turned of individually, so the blacks are really deep. The processor is a Generation better too, power vr535 vs 540

In reality, this phone is better than iPhone. But it will never sell more than iPhone because Apple already took most of casual market and most importantly, they have brand recognition. It's such a shame that a great phone like this is eclipsed by iPhone.

they dont have the over the air update. you have to download samsung kies mini on your pc. then follow the steps to upgrade. good luck

Samsung has a muc nicer and brighter screen, crispness of the iphone screen isn't too great in all honesty.
Everything seems a tad snappier on the iphone, if you like that or not is a personal taste
Samsungs camera is pretty blahh.... both could do with a shutter key though.
You can EASILY do whatever you want with the galaxy, you CAN with the iphone, but going through all the extra steps is a bit of a hassle.
Both are great, only separated by minor things.

This is the biggest heap of rubbish phone I have ever owned, and the new 2.2 upgrade has more bugs than my garden, it is an absolute piece of crap, the battery lasts 5 hrs at best. the screen freezes on every application, I advise every one to stay away from this phone, it is rubbish.

@MrSwm19 It's the greatest phone i've ever had. I've owned the sony ericsson satio, iphone 3gs, sony ericsson vivaz and some more not worth mentioning, the thing is the galaxy s is so much better. I have battery time for 48 hours on average use, never freezes, fastest phone i've ever used.

And, since you don't have the official 2.2 release, you should expect it to be buggy. I'm guessing it's operator error.

I just upgraded to 2.2. Looks great but there is a few annoying things.. like few of my live wallpapers,widgets gone, and mms doesn't work (no, not the settings..) when you set it up it works,but when you turn the pocket data off and then turn it on again it stops sending and receiving mms.after a factory reset and retyping all the setting it worked again then same thing happened. :(

I have the Samsung Epic...it rocks!!! It does stock what jailbroken iphones do lololol. I am however still waiting for froyo. I heard somewhere that sprint was releasing the update on Nov 29, 2010...have you guys heard differently?

I have found that Eclair (2.1) is much more stable, however, this is only a ROM so I'm sure once the Official T-Mobile/Samsung update come out it will be faster and more stable.

@Awayze iPhone 4 isn't the best phone on the Market for these reasons:
It has problems with the Overall design (Antenna).
Lack of most customization (Cannot set ringtone in the Music Player, no Widgets etc.)
Limited Contacts features (No Social Networking Integration, no Mark/Mark All to delete.
Can only sync with one iTunes.
No Google Maps Navigation, no Voice Search etc.
No TRUE Official Flash 10.1 from Adobe
Outdated Screen. (Super AMOLED is the way to go)
Only approved apps can multitask.

@najiboyz92 lol super amoled shits all over retina trust me my dad has iphone 4 i have samsung galaxy s and yes you can get most of the apps from app store in android market + the cpu is a a8 while iphone 4 has a a4 processor which means samsungs a8 has a better architecture and samsung made the cpu for them now the gpu in the galaxys totalls pwns the gpu in the iphone 4 trust me the galaxy s shits on the iphone 4 everyway espicially gaming except for the design

@PinkMirrorKirby i own a captivate and i like my friends iphone 4 just as much as the captivate and i did not find much things wrong with lack of customization and i also like how its sleek design is and it does multitask dumb ass and works well i have an ipad and it multitasks another thing antenna is fine and so is the screen cant spot a pixel its amazing!

Also someone told me their iphone 4 has widgets too. Just curious.

i wanted this phone but had no flash and 5mp cam what i wanted was an updated i8910HD on android with tergra or dual sanpdragon so had to settle for the iphone which design is fab so now have to wait for sammy galaxy s2 hopefully it will hae daul speakers dual cpu 8-12mp cam android 3 so thats the phone i want :)

yeah but megapixels are irrelevant in this case. I have both phones in the family and the galaxy s shoots far better pictures and especially video. Dont forget that although the lil bit difference in pixels, the galaxy s has a MUCH more vibrant screen, nothing can compete with omaled screens yet, so the contrast between the colors is amazing and the led lights can be turned of individually, so the blacks are really deep. The processor is a Generation better too, power vr535 vs 540

In reality, this phone is better than iPhone. But it will never sell more than iPhone because Apple already took most of casual market and most importantly, they have brand recognition. It's such a shame that a great phone like this is eclipsed by iPhone.

@ChopSooyLee on paper this phone is far better than the iphone. However developers need to put the same amount of effort in to android as iphone OS. The same applications can run on my samsung galaxy 3 that can run on the galaxy s, its a waste of potential!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Iphone is a great device - but Apple has so many restrictions with what you can do with it.
The Samsung Galaxy S is yours to do whatever you want with, and it's an AWESOME device. Froyo has flash btw.
