  • We added a note of "after Marimo Magic" at the end of this video, receiving author's report.

  • I feel so comforted just watching this. I always wanted to tape my baby' voice so that in old age I could reflect. This is so beautiful......I love life and family. I've been married for 22 years and have 6 wonderful children. Oh what a joy for family. Only true happiness comes from doing what our purpose is in life by the nature in which God created us.

  • Though this videos touches my heart and makes me feel a little sad inside... it also makes me look forward to the future with my fiance : )

Grandmother in nursing home (89) this summer she was dying. However, her grand daugher gave birth a baby girl. when she met his baby great grand daughter, this works miracle. Grand mother has improved much in health. that's the "baby power"

    me gusto mucho

  • It reminds me of a picture at my parents place... It is my great grand mother holding my newborn cousin. It is so touching to see those two extreme...

  • This is the first time I got tears in my eyes watching a youtube video. There is so emotion brought forth watching this old lady and the baby.

I guess the tears come from knowing the old lady is near death and the baby is just beginning it's life.

    very poignant indeed. sniff sniff

  • Hi Niragan, thanks for the explanation, I undestood very little, I knew the grandma was sick and the parents of the baby wanted to show their new baby. Bu the video needs subtitles. Thanks once again. Beautiful story

  • beautiful

  • OK, The baby is the Old Gramma Daughter's Baby; NOT the old gramma's baby. I know some Japanese:D. SO the Gramma was really SICK and was about to DIE when she saw the new born baby of her daughter and her health SUDDENLY became much better and as these people here in the VID said,' The baby was a "Miracle Baby", And yea thats the whole story. Lovely story, lovely landscape, lovely peace in Japan, and most of all japanese are very much respectful toward thier elders and everyone.

  • Wow, Japan looks very beautiful. The elder on the bed, did she see her grandchild or great grandchild?

  • One thing I honor the Japanese and Asian culture: they venerate their elderly. Here, in America, we install them in nursing homes and forget about them. Sad.

  • @stormspinner1 very true indeed, i agree

  • a sad but beautiful video

  • I am not Japanese, neither native speaker of English....but I think that what happens in the video is for us to see how they show respect for the old people. That grandma seems to have been who raised those grandchildren who are now having more children (if you see at the beginning there are some pictures of her in 1974, when she was 49) Our societies are not like that....we get rid of the old as soon as they get unable to work...what a pity. Well, saludos desde Chile.

  • @gyakuten1 , actually whats going on, is if you read the description, theres some sort of documentary, and the old lady was dying during this summer, but the granddaughter happen to be having a child, and when it was born, they showed it to the old lady, the "baby miracle" occured. and the old lady regained much more health and lived.

  • dont u get it?? the baby is not the oldwoman's daughter, that's the daughter of her daughter so for short the baby is her granddaughter.

  • lonatgagogaga,

No,the baby girl is a great granddaughter of the old lady(a daughter of her grand daughter). This documment talks much about love between the old lady and her granddaughter when the lady was less old . The old lady has been weak and ill because of her age but her grand-daughter/s new born baby gives her power and energy for survival.

  • she sick and try to see the baby of her daugther!!!

  • this so uplifting. its beautiful

  • That is the sweetest thing I've ever seen!!!

  • that is so beautiful!

  • Guess what guys,we are going to be old one date,so respect them please??? we are so fragile and so concited, think before you offend the older people. Please.

  • wow...apparently everyone lacks respect here at you tube...

almost everywhere i go i read these ridiculous comments from ppl who have nothing better to do but be miserable and then share their misery with us normal ppl who can watch something and actually EXTRACT the beauty from within...

today's lesson...your computer can be tracked...

  • I AGREE

  • people u got it all wrong! the baby is the grandma's grandson or granddaughter. they just put he/she there so the grandma can see it better. old people have poor vision sometimes and need to see it up close. shesh.

  • No.. you guys are totally wrong! the old lady did not give birth, it's impossible under her condition! i was her other daughter instead.

  • i dont get nothing but i like it

  • Aw.. I love old people and babies.. They bring joy to me.

  • this documentary film is about a family love(especially babys'). this old lady is 89years old and was getting weak bcz of her age, but after one of her grand children gave birth, she is recovering day by day. babies have a special power... i believe so too.

  • Oh crap i feel like cryin too!

i'm feeling very weak when i see Baby or old people.

didn't understand, my Japanese is very suck.

i think this MV is about love.

  • Sponsored by Japan Foundation, "the first video documentary Japan Festival" Grand Prix winner. Grandmother in nursing home (89) this summer she was dying. However, her grand daugher gave birth a baby girl. when she met his baby great grand daughter, this works miracle.

Grand mother has improved much in health. that's the "baby power"

in brief, baby power makes miracle

    I reference Jal1515's comment

    I'm not familar with english

    no one eat BABY!
