Oh, yeah. Remember this on the radio, my older brother going to grade school...there was a college radio station near us, which became all new-wave during the 80s one of the first to do that. they interviewed "nobodies"--like David Byrne, the B-52s, Sting, Ric O'Casek, Al Jourgensen. Yep, never hear of them guys again...

Not sure what part of the US you're in, but in Los Angeles both "Slang Teacher" AND "Chicken Outlaw" got about equal airplay. Also "Come Back Friday" was a radio hit in L.A..
