I saw them on this tour in Hartford, CT... was a great show, and the album/tour was probably the last great thing they did. I love the older line-up too, but they sound like a pathetic lounge act now.
To rmazali: it's a tv broadcast (Mega, I think). Unfortunately there is no dvd available. I was present two days before in another city (Viña del Mar), where I saw cameramen recording a video too. No idea what happened to that material, either.
A great comeback creation. Yes, like Pink Ployd, sound great after that one-decade that great rockers can enjoy. The Rolling Stones and The Who also tried hard -- but not nearly as successfully . . .
The Talk tour was the final time I would see YES in its greatest form even though Rick was not a part of YesWest I must say no finer group of Yes members has ever dawned the stage and Rabin is the only reason that this band ever had a number one song on the charts. He will forever be the writer and producer HERO of YES and he has earned that place in history and finally he (RABIN) is one of the finest guitarist alive no matter what any man or woman says. I stake my reputation on it Trevor rocks!
@tonymenown I dunno. I like both but i just find Bruford really messy. I only started liking him when he joined abwh. didnt like him during the early yesyears.
This is an amazing record of a great concert which I saw twice in Saratoga, NY and Montreal PQ, Canada ! Excellent audio mix with Chris audible and in proper focus...
In this tour Chris used a lot of basses, many of them i've never seed played: the Fender Jazz in "Walls" and the Vigier in this song, plus his Rickenbacker, the Mouradian for "Owner of a lonely heart" and his 8 - string for "Changes". In every way, he's the greatest.
Looking forward to seeing Yes again play live this month. Unfortunately without Jon Anderson. But looking at this great video reminds me that Steve Howe was not in this version of the band either, and it is an extraordinary era, and DRAMA! So I'm OK with Benoit David and Oliver Wakeman in this upcoming version. Chris Squire is the rock! Alan White is a percussionist's percussionist! And Steve Howe will be there as well, to truly represent the core truths and beauties of what is essentially YES!
Saw them play this tour in Chicago... was outstanding!!!! My favorite YES album by far.

I like Alan White a lot, but let's be clear -- he's just a good rock drummer and nothing more. Night and day difference from Bill Bruford.

One of their top 10 songs of all time in addition to one of their most underrated.

Such meaningful, positive lyrics...one of the main reasons I've always loved Yes...nice uplifting social commentary statement here too!

Pawor9 2 years ago
That's nothing, he used to use a US quarter.

Anyone. The question is who can KICK ASS at the bass with a pick. Only Chris Squire.

Michael Anthony

Michael Anthony doesn't play the bass with the pick. He never has - he's a regular finger player.
