The Flying Tigers and Ligers need to be stationed at Tokyo International for a little while.

I am really worried about the threat China and N. Korea pose to the Empire of Japan,

A-10's there would HIGHLY discourage any aggressive moves on the part of these two threats against our defenseless Japanese friends.

No, Captain YOST. He was a part of the 74th Flying Tigers at Pope AFB, as well as being the lead pilot for the A-10 East Coast Demo Team. The reason I know so much is because I am a "1Charlie Oscar" in the USAF and was stationed there till we BRAC and went to Moody AFB.

Neither aircraft was intended for air to air combat or has that capability normally.

Actually, the A-10 can be equipted with air to air missiles. Just have to change the software in the jet a little and the A-10 would win.

ya the A10-warthog is capable of having air-2-air missiles under it's wings. it's 30mm gatling gun can also be used in air to air in extreme cases.

a10 would most likely win simply because the U.S. usus more advanced cockpit technology

i can tell you mutkins that this plane used to be based in england. at woodbridge and bentwaters in suffolk. when i was a youngster in 1979 i had my first meeting with an A10 ,or two of them actually..i loved them from that day. i used to see them lots after that over our village in yorkshire..damn the end of the cold war!!
