  • I'll tell you what I don't appreciate, how they kept fast-forwarding through the video.

  • It is bothering me, but I can't place what song is in the beginning. It's at the tip of my tongue but I just can't get it. Help?

  • @brittgrrr its deeper by delirious

  • Comment removed

  • why does he say G when it's G#? ):

  • @joyyyyyfication I was confused at first too, but I realized he meant that he just plays the G family of chords; he was trying to say that you could just throw the capo on where ever you're comfortable vocally because the G family chords are easy to play.

    ps. thats A not G# :]

  • @gerrymi4 ohhhh! hahah okay i geddit.

are you sure it's A? hahahah i checked a few times and it's G#. he's got his guitar down a half step i think?

  • @joyyyyyfication Oh it is G#, sorry I hadn't tried playing with him til right now.

  • his laugh is awesome at 2:13! lol

  • they should focus on th guitar more

  • @PaladinAtWar or they could set all their focus on god

  • amazing song

  • is that an Atari shirt? lol

  • I go to church with this guy, and I love him to death. There is nothing better than knowing that I will be able to get into the worship no matter what because my favorite christian music artist will be jammin for the Lord on stage. David you are amazing, keep doing what you are doing, and thanks a lot for this video, because I love this song and always wanted to know how you play it so that I could better myself for the benefit of my band. God bless you man

  • love this song!

  • traduzcanlo!!! please

  • Is this guy electrocuted every time he shows up on camera or what? Why can't he just be normal? He want's to get the attention! "They have their reward" (Matt. 6:2)

  • @gimik2 The bible also talks about man looking at outward appearances but God looks at the heart. Shame on you, gimik2.

  • @TheWpwyatt "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." [1 Cor. 6:20]; "For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged." [1 Cor. 11:31]. Put this in your pipe and smoke it! Shame on you for being a watered-down Christian and accepting worldly "Christian" music and musicians that look more like a bunch of queers and less like children of God!

  • @gimik2 I apologize for my ignorance, gimik2. I should not have said "Shame on you" like that. The last thing I want to be is a watered down Christian. I definately don't think that our brother David Crowder looks like a queer. He has written songs that has blessed me and my church and has drawn us into a closer relationship with Jesus. After all, that's who my focus is on: Jesus and not David Crowder.

  • @gimik2 dude, what are talking about but god does not care what you look like either way he cares about the heart, a heart for him. and please where is it this song watered down.

second 1 cor 6: 20 is talking about god giving his life for ours sins and paid the price for ransom, because when we accept him in our heart, we become his.

and 1 cor 11:31 what does judging my self my self have to do with christian music and musician that looks like a queer? when the man obviously isn't?

  • @ccarter010 It is tuned down a 1/2 step. I couldn't figure out why my guitar didn't sound the same as his when I capoed on the 2nd fret. Then I tuned down to see what would happen and that was the trick I needed.

  • In this video, David is tuned down 1/2 a step and he capos on the 2nd fret. Almost the same as just capoing on the 3rd fret, but the tuning does affect the tonal quality when trying to play along. A very talented musician/writer with a heart for God. One of my all time favorite artists.

  • @john1415thru17 I said that tuning down a 1/2 step and capoing on the 2nd is the same as capoing on the 3rd in standard tuning, but it would actually be capoing on the 1st if using standard tuning. I went the wrong direction on the fret board :)

  • He is an amazing songwriter and singer he probably has one of the most recognizable voices in christian music

  • man it's so unusual to hear a Texan accent from a guy with that look. Either way it's a great song

  • wsullivan86, point taken.

i already like him better than clapton :)

  • Rick Cua is the man.

  • nice martin

  • david crowder is awesome..

  • he probably is a great guy, but his music is not anything i could listen to in a car driving down the street. his voice grinds my gears. im sure i am in the minority.

  • Well sir, why did you take the time to watch the video and then comment on said video? I'm praying for you.

  • that's probably why you can't spell?

  • He have the guitar tuned down a half tonestep and he is singing it in G# in this vid, normaly in B.

  • he says in B

  • MatthijsGuitarHero, he said B flat is what they normally play it in. He said he plays in G then throws the capo on.

  • i have a question. when i play this song with my guitar 2 capo, it still sounds different. is he playing on different tuning?

  • I believe so. If I remember right, I think that they have their guitars tuned a half step down.

  • i guess his guitar is tuned different, he is playing a G sharp.

    GRTZ!

  • We can see David's life is really blessed by the Lord, from his lifestyle and his music

  • lol, awesome laugh at 2:16

David is so inspiring. You can tell his heart is really into what he does.

  • I love the beard man! lol beard for the win awesome song....awesome story

  • hey does anyone know what song is being played in the beginning of the video. Before it starts?

  • Delirious? - Deeper

  • The annointing that is upon David Crowder band is awsome. I love rock.. but when I want to relax and worship I love to hear their music

  • I love this guy! God bless him and his ministry.

  • Argueably the best Christian music artist. O Praise Him. All this for a king, we could join and sing all for christ the king. Our God is an Amazing God. There is none other like him. All our praise goes to him and him alone. God bless all!

  • man lol he's one of the most funky looking people i've ever seen, but its an awesome funky. (^.^)

  • He messed up putting the Capo in II, it was supposed to be in III if he wanted it to be in B flat, but it sounds good though...

  • no bro,

he said he usually plays in b flat.

    he's tuned down for acoustic.

  • He didn't mess up. :P He clearly says that he "normally" plays in B flat but doesn't want to play it that high in the vid...

  • hahahaha ok i accidentally paused it at 2:02 try it lol

  • very talented

  • And 85% of statistics are made up on the spot

    most Pastors are VERY educated

  • Most pastors abuse young boys...

How would a priest who stands for the church do gay stuff? I mean never mind that the boy is underage but hes going all homo??

I guess as mother treaser said she really couldnt find any faith in herself so its quite easy to come off the rails. I say rails but clearly I mean sexual and mental abuse.

I still say a church steeple with a lightning rod on top shows a lack of confidence. - Doug McLeod

  • First, Most priests do not abuse young boys...a few have, which is awful, but not most

second, preist and pastor are two different things.

  • Still what i was saying is, why does it seem they only go for young boys? you hardly ever hear then abusing young girls?

Just seems odd that's all, I'm guessing its some sort of gay thing!

  • lol FUM thank you for stating this

"preist and pastor are two different things"

If you guys are going to make an argument make sure you know what your are talking about.

  • yeoo i agree :L

  • David's a crazy lookin dude...but he loves God and i love his music

  • @Rachael77

haha yeah I thought the same exact thing. Goofy lookin' guy but love his music :)

  • as cool as it may be, it really is kinda gross lol

  • looks has nothing to do with it, if it did, none of us would be good enough

  • Waco, Texas babyee! LOL this guy is a pretty cool. We played with him back in the day at a Texas Revival thing. great musicianship

  • What a beautiful song! Praise the Lord God Almighty!

  • its because he tunes it down. a capo on two with his guitar is like a capo one on a normal tuned guitar. on the real cd recorded version its a capo three, and its tuned normal. but he changed it up for newsong cafe, and hes done that before, listen to the newsong cafe version of here is our king.

but its simpaly tuned down. thats it.

play it on capo one and its just like hes playing it.

  • thats teaching? i capoed to two AND 3 and every time i play a G it sounds NOTHING like what he's playing

  • Try capo 1. I've heard that a lot of the illuminate CD is tuned down half step.

  • lol ok.... Weird...

I love this song and would love to be able to play it, thanks for the help

  • make the G a G2 by opening the 5th string and place your index finger on the 2nd fret of the G string to double the A with the octave. also, move your ring finger over to the 3rd fret of the 2nd string to convert the B string to a D, and use your pinky on the 1st string for the G. sound confusing? simply follow the directions one step at a time and you'll sound awesome! we affectionately call that pinky/ring finger combo on the 1st and 2nd strings "the chris tomlin squeeze." enjoy.

  • thanks that was very helpful.

  • does anyone know the strumming pattern?

  • if you figure it out tell me

ive lisened to it, cant get it either

but ive got one thats pretty close, and its sounds really good

so ya, either try and get it or just make up your own that sounds good too it =D

  • however! this song, just as many others were inspired by the holy spirit, and is turned into a worship song.

  • however! this song, just as many others were inspired by the holy spirit, and is turned into a worship song.

  • such a cool song!

  • david crowder reps jesus well... YO

  • I love this song, and I don't even have a religion (being an agnostic). He did a great job with this song, for sure.

  • jesus love's you

  • don't ignore your love/interest for this song...it was placed in your heart with a purpose and as a gift from our majestic Creator, in Jesus' name

  • i take it you you don't read God's word much....i would love to point you to some scriptures if you're interested...we're either for Jesus or against Him...anything in between is in serious danger of the fires of hell...

  • Actually. I do. Though I think a lot of it is man's word, not God's. And I never said anything against Jesus. And looking at at it in such black and white terms is wrong.

I don't think it is up to you to decide who goes to hell and who doesn't. Though I'm sure you will tell me of scripture that clearly tells you who does and who doesn't.

  • "Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." We will all bow to him one day and give an account..we're either for him or against him and it is very black and white without the shade of grey that our culture loves to comfortably live within. Jesus himself said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me." praise Him.

  • And of course-- you id exactly as I thought you did lol. But oh well thats fine.

You are very right- society likes to live without much morals and still believe they are good people. You are correct. Though first off-- you don't KNOW Jesus said that, you just know that its in the bible, but thats faith I guess. Second-- this can be interpreted in a million different ways. Third-- I find it hard to believe that those who do not believe in Jesus go to hell, no matter how pure they are.

  • Titus 1:15

"To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted." I would expect that you find it hard to believe- but God in is mercy is giving you just enough time on earth to seek him out and decide.

Your conclusion about faith is rightly made. I cannot talk you into believing the Bible is God's word- if that were the case then someone could come along and talk you out of it also.

  • I believe that all the passages you have quoted can be interpreted in many, many different ways, and that much of the bible has been tainted by man. But that is not to say that I believe the bible is trash. But considering all of its contradictions and stories that do not correlate with scientific fact, I do not think you can take it literally. However, I assure you that I have been trying to see your side of the issue for some years now, and will continue to do so.

  • contradictions....hmmm...before one can label a text as contradictory, he or she would have to read and understand a text in it's entirety?..as far as interpretation is concerned...that's where a genuine relationship with Christ is a must...before i came to know Christ, the bible was just pages full of ink. the bible challenges us to "taste and see for ourselves" and to "seek with all of our hearts" and God will reveal Himself to us and grant our simple, finite minds to understand His rich word

  • it does, when you take everything literally. that's why we look at the bible for its entirety. there's some truth in what Geoffzett said earlier. i'm a christian, but i think alot of times, we confuse human emotions with the touch of the holy spirit. sometimes, we just like the song itself instead of having Jesus breaking down our hearts. another thing, our belief really come down to whether we believe that the authors of the bible are inspired by God to write down the Bible.

  • My goodness! Pure talented man of God!

  • this video skips a bit doesn't it?

    oh well.

the song ruled over the distractions. ^_^

  • love his hair:P

  • hey, maybe claudius didn't mean it offensively...

  • My god he is an amazing singer i mean most people when heard live or in person dont sound as good but my god he sounds amazing and almost better in person

  • lol hear his laugh

  • What tuning is he (David Crowder) playing on?

  • his guitar is tuned to flats, you can just put a capo on 1st then u're set. god bless

  • DCB is the best worship band that I have ever worshiped with.

  • He plays this song by putting the capo on the 3rd fret though, so make sure you play it with the capo on the 3rd frett and not the 2nd one like he has here. Very easy to play too! An easy way for D/F# is to use your thumb to get that F# in the D. God Bless!

  • Chords are as follows:

    Verse:

    G D/F# C

    G D/F# C G/B C

    Pre-Chorus:

D/F# C x4 (hold the c on the last one)

    Chorus:

    G D/F# Em C Amsus

  • this song really touches me - thanks for posting this!

  • the next time David is playing near me..I am so there..what a mighty man of God.. he is cool!! God gave him a great gift.

  • I really like this song as well! I also like David Crowder's voice and singing ... so clear and easy to follow.

  • WOW! Praise Jesus... This is just such a blessing to see, hear and feel.

  • Can anyone tell me the chords he's playing?

  • Capo 2

    Verse

    G, Cadd9, G, Dsus4, Cadd9, Dsus4

    Chorus:

    Cadd9, Dsus4, Em7 (with pinky on the G), Cadd9, Dsus4

    hope that was helpful
