@joyyyyyfication I was confused at first too, but I realized he meant that he just plays the G family of chords; he was trying to say that you could just throw the capo on where ever you're comfortable vocally because the G family chords are easy to play.
I go to church with this guy, and I love him to death. There is nothing better than knowing that I will be able to get into the worship no matter what because my favorite christian music artist will be jammin for the Lord on stage. David you are amazing, keep doing what you are doing, and thanks a lot for this video, because I love this song and always wanted to know how you play it so that I could better myself for the benefit of my band. God bless you man
Is this guy electrocuted every time he shows up on camera or what? Why can't he just be normal? He want's to get the attention! "They have their reward" (Matt. 6:2)

@gimik2 I apologize for my ignorance, gimik2. I should not have said "Shame on you" like that. The last thing I want to be is a watered down Christian. I definately don't think that our brother David Crowder looks like a queer. He has written songs that has blessed me and my church and has drawn us into a closer relationship with Jesus. After all, that's who my focus is on: Jesus and not David Crowder.
@gimik2 dude, what are talking about but god does not care what you look like either way he cares about the heart, a heart for him. and please where is it this song watered down.

and 1 cor 11:31 what does judging my self my self have to do with christian music and musician that looks like a queer? when the man obviously isn't?
@ccarter010 It is tuned down a 1/2 step. I couldn't figure out why my guitar didn't sound the same as his when I capoed on the 2nd fret. Then I tuned down to see what would happen and that was the trick I needed.
In this video, David is tuned down 1/2 a step and he capos on the 2nd fret. Almost the same as just capoing on the 3rd fret, but the tuning does affect the tonal quality when trying to play along. A very talented musician/writer with a heart for God. One of my all time favorite artists.
@john1415thru17 I said that tuning down a 1/2 step and capoing on the 2nd is the same as capoing on the 3rd in standard tuning, but it would actually be capoing on the 1st if using standard tuning. I went the wrong direction on the fret board :)
he probably is a great guy, but his music is not anything i could listen to in a car driving down the street. his voice grinds my gears. im sure i am in the minority.
Argueably the best Christian music artist. O Praise Him. All this for a king, we could join and sing all for christ the king. Our God is an Amazing God. There is none other like him. All our praise goes to him and him alone. God bless all!
Statistics show the more educated an individual, the less likely they are to be religious or believe in a god. 72% of the National Academy of Sciences members have a 'personal disbelief in god' and another 20% claim 'doubt or agnosticism'. 850,000,000 people around the world are Atheist, Agnostic or Non-Religious. That's more than 1 out of 10 people, making up the 4th largest belief group. Less than 1% of the US prison population is 'atheist'. Does make you wonder.
How would a priest who stands for the church do gay stuff? I mean never mind that the boy is underage but hes going all homo??
I guess as mother treaser said she really couldnt find any faith in herself so its quite easy to come off the rails. I say rails but clearly I mean sexual and mental abuse.
I still say a church steeple with a lightning rod on top shows a lack of confidence. - Doug McLeod

Now hold on just a minute. Now I am not trying to bash any religion or anything like that... however I think many Christians are confusing their liking of a good song (like this one) to having religious moments during worship. I have to play in a youth band and I see this all the time...
The song is just very very catchy and has a great melody..that does not mean it was placed by Jesus anywhere.
i take it you you don't read God's word much....i would love to point you to some scriptures if you're interested...we're either for Jesus or against Him...anything in between is in serious danger of the fires of hell...
Actually. I do. Though I think a lot of it is man's word, not God's. And I never said anything against Jesus. And looking at at it in such black and white terms is wrong.
I don't think it is up to you to decide who goes to hell and who doesn't. Though I'm sure you will tell me of scripture that clearly tells you who does and who doesn't.
"Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." We will all bow to him one day and give an account..we're either for him or against him and it is very black and white without the shade of grey that our culture loves to comfortably live within. Jesus himself said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me." praise Him.
And of course-- you id exactly as I thought you did lol. But oh well thats fine.
You are very right- society likes to live without much morals and still believe they are good people. You are correct. Though first off-- you don't KNOW Jesus said that, you just know that its in the bible, but thats faith I guess. Second-- this can be interpreted in a million different ways. Third-- I find it hard to believe that those who do not believe in Jesus go to hell, no matter how pure they are.
"To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted." I would expect that you find it hard to believe- but God in is mercy is giving you just enough time on earth to seek him out and decide.
Your conclusion about faith is rightly made. I cannot talk you into believing the Bible is God's word- if that were the case then someone could come along and talk you out of it also.
I believe that all the passages you have quoted can be interpreted in many, many different ways, and that much of the bible has been tainted by man. But that is not to say that I believe the bible is trash. But considering all of its contradictions and stories that do not correlate with scientific fact, I do not think you can take it literally. However, I assure you that I have been trying to see your side of the issue for some years now, and will continue to do so.
contradictions....hmmm...before one can label a text as contradictory, he or she would have to read and understand a text in it's entirety?..as far as interpretation is concerned...that's where a genuine relationship with Christ is a must...before i came to know Christ, the bible was just pages full of ink. the bible challenges us to "taste and see for ourselves" and to "seek with all of our hearts" and God will reveal Himself to us and grant our simple, finite minds to understand His rich word
it does, when you take everything literally. that's why we look at the bible for its entirety. there's some truth in what Geoffzett said earlier. i'm a christian, but i think alot of times, we confuse human emotions with the touch of the holy spirit. sometimes, we just like the song itself instead of having Jesus breaking down our hearts. another thing, our belief really come down to whether we believe that the authors of the bible are inspired by God to write down the Bible.
