Whoa..Im stunned by your amateur effort in making this simple and yet remarkable vid...nice scene selection+sound t!m!ng..cool VID
Just do me a favor and sell that Casio PLS..grab some HD ffs.
Btw Im going to japan (30days) and Im carying my equipment (foto-cam)...tell me one thing pls..Will i be able to recharge it there with some adapter (220V/110V)? which is it. Arigato gozaimasu
^^ uhm I know japan isn't perfect, but I guess it's bettere than here... -.-'' my lucky friends that had the opportunity to go there, saied that coming back here is like going back to the past... w!
this is what they saied...when I'll go too, I'll say mine! ^^
god you dont know how much I want to go to tokyo! I mean I am not just some anime fan or something I mean I have been in love with japan ever since I was 4 years old! im 15 now. and seeing videos like this, maybe not the weird music in this, but seeing this and listening to my j-music I really want to go there and I am going when I am old enough.
I am an American who has lived in Japan for 7 years. Trust me, Japan is not the Disneyland you think it is. I am not trying to break your spirit, but just don't inflate those hopes of finding utopia too high. And how dare you called Nine Inch Nails' music "weird"!
wow I wrote this huge thing about what you said a few weeks ago. OK I have been learning about japan since I was little. I talk to a lot of people from there, I know a lot about it. I HATE the stupid people who think japan is this magical fairyland where everything is perfect like they see in stupid anime. japan has a lot of bad things about it and its not perfect at all. I know this trust me you should see what I wrote. But I do want to go there because I've been interested in it for so long
Nine Inch Nails for the win mate ^^ I'd love to go the Japan, I know it's not utopia, but would you care to enlighten me to the bad parts of Japan? I know the good parts already but i've never heard much about the negative parts of japan.
Its kinda 50 years in the future compared to my humble Sicily...I think Japan is the only country able to find a third way to the future. The rest of the world follow a binary path; lay stuck in an ancient world or being absorbed by capitalism. Japan absorbed capitalism itself in his own culture.
@Senyorpiroteknik The highest praise to Tokyo I have seen. I used to write to email about Japanese that they worked under capitalism but he replied that he doesn't think so. I don't quite agree with him until I know more about Japan.
lol comparing shanghai wif tokyo?? 1) tokyo the center of japan whereas in china the ppl are all scattered into more than 10 different cities.2)shanghai jus recently experience economic boom n development bak in 1990 where tokyo received development aid from US after WW2.3)tokyo is a already a developed city where its population has 100% literacy rate whereas shanghai receive thousands of migrants wif low literacy rate from rural china each year. pls don criticize shanghai be4 u do some research
Dont be silly, there is no significance in that comment. The literacy rate is 99% in japan, yet those who are literate state that they too find Kanji hard. You make it sound like the people you ran into can't read any Kanji and if that is true, what percentage do they make up. You comment is lazy.
Sorry if I assumed you were Japanese because of your name and your videos that are views of Japan~Tokyo. Anyway, I've never been to China or Shanghai, but I really want to and since you're also American, you should know America has beggars everywhere, especially cities like NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit and many other cities. It's not right to assume one city is better than the other just because of one of it's poor quality because I'm sure Tokyo has ppor qualities as well.
I'm from San Francisco, but born in NYC. There are homeless people EVERYWHERE in those cities, BUT, they don't get in your face to the extent that the people in Shanghai do. Go there, and you'll change your mind. It's something that has to be experienced to be understood.
The homeless in Tokyo never ask for money. In the 3 years I've lived here, not ONE homeless person asked me for money. They sell magazines, stuff they find on the street, hand out fliers for shops. They earn their money.
Really?! Wow, I'm really suprised to hear that because many foreigners who went to Shanghai loved it there. For instance, the people there are really nice and they've never mentioned about beggars or anything like that. But yeah, I have to go there to see for my self. By the way, when did you even go to Shanghai because China is changing really really fast, due to the economic boom and the cities are getting better and better every year.
hey mate. I spent over a week in Shanghai last month. There were no more beggars than any other chinese city but the saddest aspect was definitely the child beggars. They grab you when you're trying to walk and they're absolutely tiny. Its hard not to give them money but believe me you're doing them a favor if you don't. If they recieve 'beggar' money when they're young it reinforces that they can do this to live for the rest of their life. sorry for the lecture. peace
Thought so...looking at these videos of Japan and comparing it to the Bay Area where I live....it's much much better there. The culture is well preserved, the entertainment is great, the food is good, the cities are clean, and the people are nice. God I can't wait to live there.
Dude, i live in a third world city, with narrow dirty streets, bad architecture and no identity at all. San Jose, Costa Rica is joke. The bay area seems nice to me and Tokyo, well, its like going into the future, cuz my god damned city lives 30 years in the past. I am glad we have high speed internet, could be worst.
Well all right.....but at least you've got family there, am I not right?? All those things don't matter when you have good neighbors, good friends, and good family. HOWEVER IN THE BAY AREA......it's a dog eat dog world every man for themselves. NO CULTURE, NOTHING, IT'S DISGUSTING. Can't wait to go to Japan though..
I was in Shanghai for a week last year, and I didn't get bothered by any beggars. There were plenty of pushy people selling stuff, but not a single out-right beggar approached me. I did have a couple of disabled old people beg for money in Beijing (total 3 weeks), but I didn't see any in Shanghai.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Have you ever been to Shabghai to say that there are beggars everywhere? Let's face it higeki, you're biased and Tokyo certainly isn't the best in the world. It's probably a little better than Shanghai because they've onlt started constructing the city 19 years ago and tokyo? More like 75+ years! Shanghai has been the most beautiful city in China, until you Japanese bombed the city during WW2.

Tokyo DOES NOT have a 100% literacy rate. YOU need to do some research. I run into people daily who can't read kanji.
