No Michael, I don't stalk you on Youtube, if you haven't noticed yet but on the Youtube home page, there is the recent activity of your friends displayed at the bottom, I saw you was talking about Eggborough powerstation so I thought I would chip in a comment, I thought Youtube was to bring a community together at the end of the day...
cooling towers are use for cooling of reactor water they run cool water ocer pipes filled with hot waterto cool it and once the pipe water is cool its sent to the reactor and the cooling water exits as steam throught the tower opening
the reactor water is radioactive remember so the radiation could leak into the cooling water either that or a pip could leak causeing reactor water to flow into the cooling water and then be expelled as radioactive steam
i clean towers like tht suprised they ant been knocked down yet

@bigpboi theyre not allowed, demolition would cause the river banks right next to it to burst.

killman369547 2 years ago
then why do people think they are bad for the environment if all it is is steam?
pete7wiegard 2 years ago
the reactor water is radioactive remember so the radiation could leak into the cooling water either that or a pip could leak causeing reactor water to flow into the cooling water and then be expelled as radioactive steam
