@cyberslick18 yea but thats the beaty of meth..its cheap and can add some good power..its a lot cheaper to do meth and a s/c then to do a sc and start to build up the engine which is a lot of money sence its a v8.unless you just got ported heads

@crzygutrsnobrdr I dunno, meth isn't the answer everyone likes. Most people just use meth because it makes tuning the car a shit load easier. I have a meth injected d1sc s/c corvette, and i can tell you that my tuner only used it to make his life easier, not for any benefit on my end.

It doesnt last long either, unless you have a gigantic tank, 4 minutes of open throttle in a tank the size of the spare wheel well. If you use meth and the s/c you'll still need to build up the engine...

@crzygutrsnobrdr I'd get the supra if I were you, the corvette is kind of annoying to make big power on. THe engine is great, and you can shove anything you want in there pretty easily, but the rest of the drive train and suspension sucks. Everyone 100hp you'll need to replace something pretty big, and unless you tub it, you'll never hook up as well as most cars.

Supras don't grip too much better, but the drivetrain is stronger in my opinion

@cyberslick18 u can make the supra grip. there are 8 sec street legal supras. the problem with the supra is the $ to find one where i live then to find one with low miles and hasent been beaten on all the time. if it came down to it id do the supra.but i love the sound of v8's too

@cyberslick18 no offense man but nelson racing engines threw a 427 in a supra cause the drivetrain wouldnt handle over 800hp dependably. i will say its easier to make hp with cubes you make as much power on half the boost

If you actually read the article he did it because "HE" felt that it couldn't take 1300rwhp reliably. There are guys with built motor Supras making 1500rwhp and running 7s in the 1/4 doing refreshes as much as any other 7 second car. There are guys who ran over 1000ft lbs of torque on a stock 6 speed transmission and rear end. I made 800rwhp on the stock motor.

@crzygutrsnobrdr Think of meth as another version of race gas. With meth injection is more or less lets you tune a 93 octane gas as if it were 120+ octane. With a lot of air coming in, more octane usually means more power. It also means a lot more stress and compression issues.

If i could do it all over again, I'd still get the s/c, but I'd spend more on a bigger cam and heads rather than the injection kit.

Either way though, anything more than 500 hp on these cars is suicide without slicks

@cyberslick18 well yea but im sayin i know a lot of people (in the audi society) that use meth injection because trying to find parts for 1.8t's and 2.0t's are hard to find.they dont make a ton of parts for their engines,so they use meth (lol) 500rwhp on anycar without slicks is pretty scare haha.the most ive driven was around 700awhp.i felt like i was going to shit my pants everytime i down shifted and gave it some gas. but i really want a c5 vette or a mk4 supra
