I was there. I pictured the number of people in a football stadium, around 65,000 and tried to picture these people in stadiums. We had a lot more people than the media reported! Everyone was friendly--without exception--and there was NO trash left behind!!
swingsteve, the international media from the UK says we had over 2 million there... some said 1.5 million... I would guess about 2 million because when the inauguration of Obama took place, there were estimated 800,000 and if you look at diagrams of where DC has sections, it's clear - it was more than 100,000 by far.
This is so much more representative of what I saw while there and more like how my pics and videos look like than anything I am seeing in the media. Good job.
swingsteve - really, what is your point? that only 100,000 people care about the Constitution? Only 100,000 people care about our Country? Only 100,000 people will fight National Socialism?
just to clear things up, that picture was from the promise keepers rally and if you listen to the narration it is comparing that rally with the tv screens to the 9/12 rally which had none, causing the crowd to spread out to the streets rather than down the length of the mall.
Also, there is a picture edited into your montage at 1:27 into the video. It shows teh entire mall packed with people from one end to another. It also shows giant TV screens set up the entire length of the mall. I was there. Giant TV screens weren't in place on the entire length of the mall. Also, the mall was not filled to capacity. Only the 1st 3 or 4 blocks of the mall were completely filled with people. Furthermore, that picture was taken on a sunny day. It was cloudy in Washington on 9/12.
It also says, when that photo is shown, that there weren't screens set up like in other events. TO ME, this was showing a photo from another event and saying that we didn't have this during ours.
Thank you for posting this video. It clears up the controversy over how many people were there. In a shot taken from a high point looking over the crowd, you can plainly see that the rally participants fill only a few blocks. Knowing how many people can squeeze into a one block area of the mall, its clear as day that there were, at most, 100,000 people there, not over a million as some would have you think. That doesn't diminish your cause or your message. But let's be truthful about numbers
Great show!
