i think that is why this scene is probably the most important of his career, it truly shows the great things we could have seen from him.

are all phrases that indicate that! And the most important "..voice still echoes inside my head, but for the first time IT IS MY OWN" !

Don't also overlook the fact that the movie ends with the sun rising--->probably the beginning of his life?!!!

Besides, in any movie with angels you may watch..."falling" means exactly this! ;)

When a angel falls it's the only way to 'become' human, for a angel to give up their divinity and special abilities they need to fall. Hence 'falling is the last thing a angel feels', we can also see this in city of angels when Nicholas Cage decides to fall to become a human. Gabriel jumps and falls to become a human, because Archangels cant understand all the human emotions since they're higher beings. If he becomes a human he can understand it all. Hope this brings some clarity!

Ouch, hard one.. Was so long ago since I watched the movie.. I'm pretty sure it's because that he feels let down by god and he has to relive it all with emotions, and if i'm not misstaken Amitiel is a human aswell. So if he stays angel he can't see her no more, and after Michael is dead and they were brothers/good friends it gets harder for him aswell. And seeing as he is the last arch he doesn't see the problem with it. And as I said, he has to see it throught the eyes of a human

He fell to Purgatory/Earth/"The City" & became human like Amitiel/Jade.What I don`t get is how The Fallen fell & retained their angelic powers.I mean , I get that The Arcs were on a job to restore The Light to Purgatory/Earth/"The City".Only Amitiel & at The End Gabriel actually fell.The other Arcs were basically just visiting.I mean , do The Fallen know some sort of ritual that lets them keep their powers or something?I hope they explain how The Fallen did that in a sequel.

He wanted to know why Michael didnt want to return to Heaven, and he wanted to find out what Michael and the others felt, therefore he fell from grace and became human.( lost his wings) At the end hes talking to God - saying in time you'll form new Arcs an all will be forgotten but Gabriel wont let it happen. Therefore when he jumped all the fallen and arcs were gone and light was restored.

Samael is the name of one of the fallen angels. the arch angels thought that the person responsable for letting all the bad things happen is him, but as you find out in the scene before this one is that the bad guy is an corrupted arch angel (michael)
