While this was an amazing performance, one of the best NBA games of my lifetime. It's slightly blemished in that it was slightly forged. If it just happened, like he was SOOOO hot that he just had to keep shooting then yeah it would have been freaking awesome with no asterix attached. But he was trying so hard to score the ball just to inflate his numbers that it just took something a little bit away from this game. I remember watching this game live and actually feeling bad for his teammates.

This is a joke of a game! The whole 4th quarter was a joke. It was obvious Kobe was trying real hard to score more points even after being up by 10, 15 and 20 points?? No wonder he got 81. You literally have to be shameless to do that haha> No wonder people kept saying, "well you have to feed him the ball", hahaha! This is not the way to break records! I think Jordan getting 35 points in a half of the NBA FINALS vs Blazers was more impressive. 6 for 6 in 3's also could have scored another 35!

ok listen, back in wilts time, he was the tallest player in the NBA. the zone D wasn't invented, and the players were much less aggresive. Paul Pierce, Melo, Nash LeBron and of course Kobe could've scored 100 back then. U know it's true
