They went in front to testify and get asked questions...what the fuck good did that do? It was just a way to shut the Dumb American people up. They used Bernie Madoff as the sacrificial lamb to give the people so it would quiet them down.

Madoff was really a miniscule player in the scheme of things.

No, they made an example of Madoff because he stole from ultra-wealthy investors (it was over hedge funds not mutual funds), you don't steal from the rich, his only mistake.

Why would you steal from individuals with a voice? You will go to jail.

Targeting the less fortunate provides you with a bonus from your corporation and when it turns sour you get a bailout which will become your severance package for ruining the community, you will not go to jail nor be fired.

Hell of a movie; just finished watching on documentaryheaven. com. I usually get movies from redbox, but I couldn't find Inside Job anywhere, not even playing in theaters near me. Please watch this film!

I have no idea why everyone makes derivatives sound so complicated. The higher ups in finance lead people to think that derivatives are these highly complex instruments that only financial engineers can understand. They are actually very simple.

Exemplary movie. Very telling. Exactly what I thought, but unable to place in to precise words. The biggest problem is the merger between "Wall Street" and "State". Regulations should be in place akin to separation of Religion and State even though that is no longer upheld. Lobbyists are the center most merger between Big business and government. They should be eliminated immediately. Then roll back the regulations which were removed. Can we face reality and Unite?

i agree. i don't understand how more people aren't upset. i know republicans and democrats alike who are angry at the government coverups and Wall Street corruption. anyone who was NOT a politician or banker/investor in all this has wee little power to do anything but bitch to each other... unless huge numbers of intelligent people figure out how to make these people responsible. we're obviously intelligent, aware and willing to face facts. what can we do??

I can't believe this film hasn't received more publicity. where is everyone? i just saw this film yesterday and am wondering why the entire country hasn't stormed Wall St., the White House and the Fed (the bastards!) by now. And I've just completely lost respect for any of the big name / big dollar university business schools - what a sham!

Mr. Ferguson, my appreciation for your efforts. Now what are we supposed to do?
