Fabulous singing but the costumes, my dears, just scream "bonjour tristesse". Her headpiece looks like a shower curtain when you tie it back to scrub out the bathtub! And that "coat" on Bastianini, fa-tooey! The fur and the fleur de lys foil cutouts just don't jive together. Otherwise, they did a bang-up job!

This aria is great, it's a great and beautiful version of Il Trovatore.

Great voice and interpretation of both.

I think that Ettore Bastianini is the best "Il Conte di Luna", he's wonderful.

Trovatore de luxe--all of the principals in prime voice--Del Monaco, Bastianini, and Gencer in the Act 1 terzetto are also wonderful and Barbieri as Azucena is simply not to be missed. Thank you.
