Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X are like Charles Xavier and Magneto in real life. One man wants equality by peace, one man wants equality by force.
got a question for black poeple... if you hate the white man so much why are you against segregation, hell go back to africrow that would be great for both of us, no one wants to see you coons making all this drama. From the 70s and on you guys were given a chance but you failed at it considering you are the leading criminals in america(and dont give me all this poverty nonsence because there are over 40-50million white folks who are impoverished, but negroes still dominate crime)
@dchikezi360 what "stoeln land" before the europeans the natives lived in small remote clusters and were not even aware that other tribes existed.there was no civilization of any kind back then, natives would much rather live in america then the scattered wasteland that they use to live in.there is also strong scientific study which proves that poeple of european descent were present prior to the indians.
@EagleMarine2012 but i dnt think u are a descendant of those so called Europeans besides science only showed they lived only in east coast not in mainland america......besides it wasnt a wasteland back then, it wasnt just not civilised..and by the way , why did the europeans have to kill a lot of natives [genocide] to take the land..makes me wonder why
@dchikezi360 It was the spaniards who en masse brutally slaughtered the natives and not the northern europeans and the hispanics are the direct descendents of these spaniards who massacred the natives. If it was not for the northern european settlements america and canada would pretty much resemble countires of central, south america and mexico.
@EagleMarine2012 What a crock of bullshit. Spaniards hardly exterminated the natives, like the "Anglos" did. One only has to look at the old censuses of imperial times. Spaniards were always largely outnumbered by the natives. Latin Americans are predominantly Amerindians and Mestizos, clown. Just look at them. Where can you find Amerindians & Mestizos in the U.S. (besides the Mexican-American communities)? Oh, shit, that's right, in "reservations" (a fancy word for "concentration camp", LOL!)
I see both men views..If you know Malcom X story you'll see why he was more expressive in a eye for an eye belief method..If you read Martin Story you'll see why he had a more peaceful tone to how to handle the war on segregation and oppression. At some point of a man's life he will have to take a stand for justice..If both these men did not put they life out there, I don't think Blacks would have come this far through the struggle. I applaud both of them for their fight for Justice..
Malcom X = Independence (achieve it yourself) MlK = dependence ( intergration) sort of what we have today whites love MlK's phylosophy= we always depend
@rochillz I am from Trinidad and Tobago and I live in America now... so what do you call me a an African Trinidadian American?.... it's stupid, just call me black because that's what I am. We are not from any one nation because we are the first human beings that were on this earth.... we've been all over the world before the whites discovered "The New World" and unfortunately much history has been erased and forgotten. So no, do not call me African American.
Great video, ummm really the only reason besides givin ya props on the video, is to say that I'm "Black" and never been to Africa (but would love to) and I guess if anything else I'd consider myself Black American. No disrespect to those brotha's that consider themselves African Americans...
Martin and Malcom x u can compet them for fek sake there both good in there ways and they both were great protector not to just the black people but other races as well both were legends to be rember both led hard life one was christan and the other was muslim may god bless them and they the people that call them selves nigger in gansta way fuck u alll hobobs you are playing with ur leaders sole and by saying nigga gives white people more freedom to kill u again hobos
Well let me ask you guys this question. Why do you think they silenced the white hating African American first, just when his views had change to that of similarity to the white loving African American, who had only been silenced once he wanted to turn to the economical issues that America faced and turned against the USA's war in Vietnam?
Learning more about both sides and the history has definitely enlightened me, and has made me come to question the governments, that of mine and the USA's. ^
@rochillz actually you do call europeans whites. and i hardly hear anyone call native-americans by that name. I mostly hear people call them Indians. For the most part i refer to african-americans as blacks and europeans (or european-americans) whites because the names are shorter and easier to say. I would rather use a one syllable word than a 7 syllable word. I do though refer to native-americans as such because redskins is, for the most part, always used in a derogatory way,
malcom x is greater, better and smarter then martin luther king ,they was both great speakers, but malcom x had more power then martin, the racist government was more afraid of malcom x then they was of martin.
I think these two men reflect upon an ideological clash within their separate religious traditions. Muslims are a peaceful people, but they believe the oppressed have a right (an obligation even,) to resist oppression. Christians believe in turning the other cheek. Martin Luther was a Baptist reverend in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Malcolm X was an Imam and figurehead for the heretical Islamic cult, The Nation of Islam.
Real Muslims do to, thats what Jihad really is. According to Muhammad (Peace be upon him,) there are two Jihads. The Greater Jihad is our struggle within, the struggle to do what is right. The lesser Jihad is a divine obligation of ummah (Islamic community,) to stand up against those who oppress.
Thats jihad of nafs, and that wasa fabricated hadith that you found out that greater jihad is the struggle within (jihad nafs) the other jihad is equal or probably greater. There is no verse that says one jihad is better than the other
No words were need to explain the struggle we went through in order to sit down beside those of different colour.. If your Mexican your still a descendant of Moors = Olmecs (Old-Mexicans) or "blacks" as we've been called recently. There's as war coming you'll need to know what side your on.
Whose side do you THINK they will be on? Their hair and skin is more like our White brothers and sisters right? But lets pray it does not have to come to such a dilemma!
This video is one of the problems we have. Why dowe have na artistic video, though very well done, that pitts arguabaly our two greatest leaders against each other. We often work against our selves and our goals. Do you see white people doing that, they have political and business competition, while we argue about what direction should we go. And know both of them are gone and we have Sharpton and Jackson marching on DC, when they should be leading a people with no clear purpose or goal
MLK = house nigger! he loved white man waaaaaay to much back in them days..same white man that is raping his sisters an hanging his bothers, an he not getting mad just saying ''we need peace''..if a person is oppressed an not getting mad then they aint very wise! Ecclesiastes 7:7 For oppression makes a wise man mad, And a bribe corrupts the heart.!
@BahamasIllestMC I have to agree with your comment- bc SOME whites are so ignorant and subliminally unconsciously IGNORANT even in 2010 that turn the other cheek mess just doesn't work. We sometimes STILL have to 'lay hands' to get our point across- as Malcolm X said- 'make sure they don't put hands on anyone else'
@BahamasIllestMC Rev 7:9 9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."

@Wlfric there's no white or black but God's chosen people are black u want scripture? i dont hate white people...i just have more respect for Malcom X than I do for Martin Luther King..just like Malcom X he went to Mecca an saw white Muslims together with blacks..that dont means he supported King's method of dealing with the oppression of black people by whites at that time...
@576118 yup...any person that is oppressed an is not mad is not wise...if Martin Luther King aint mad like Malcolm X was..then he was not as wise..even Malcom X called him a house negro..get mad at him...I only agree with Malcolm.Malcolm went to Mecca an fellowship with whites did that means he came back an had same views as Martin Luther King about the white man of that time? NO!!
@576118 dont get it twisted I dont hate white people..i just call it like it is anyman black or white or purple or green..should stand up an fight for his family, his people! his respect his dignity his rights! how i see it Malcolm would stand an fight for his Dr.King was willing to get on his knees an beg for it..i only have two cheeks when u dont slap me on both then what?
@BahamasIllestMC guess theres atleast one thing me and you(complete opposites)can agree on. We both hate interracial marriage and i hate wiggers and you hate uncle tom.I have atleast some respect for MX unlike that fat marxist lunatic who trashed america to the 3rd world multicultural cesspool that it is right now in
malcolm where stronger then MLK because he was not afraid of the white man. and MLK said that white and black men chould be togher and be happy. know thats rigth. but in america no white man liked the black man in the mid 1900. and malcolm said that if the white man don't want to be with us why chould we be with them, and be beaten by the white man, and arrested by the white man, and be murderd by the white man, and pay the white man so my vote goes to malcolm x - a real man
African American (Africans in America), should vote for both of these leaders! For the simple fact that they Both had One Misson...The Progression of the"Black Race"
You clearly have no idea what strength is, to say Malcolm was stronger for choosing the route of violence only proves your narrow minded punch first, think last mentality. It takes a stronger man to lift someone up than push someone down, and there is no heavier blow than that of reality. MLK used the ideology of the "White Man" and America against the people who supposedly stood for it. And above all else ALL peoples have been repressed through out history.
I dont see rthe difference between the men in ur vid.
;).
In facr King;s dream does come true sometimes but Malcom X btended to call spades spades
As a white guy, if I could talk to one of them it actually would be Malcom X. disagree with his muslim part though. I do think integration, followsing King was necassry but the long term solution ismore ... food thought.
It was his 'Muslim side' that thought him not to hate on white people, but instead love them. The NWO believed otherwise and it was when Malcolm visited Mecca he came back as a new man, a more loving man who told his followers to stop calling the white man a devil, because it was in Mecca where he learned that a white man could be his brother also. So they kicked him out of NWO. It was his religion that made him the person he was and died as. Disrespecting that side of him is disrespecting him.
I respect them with all might heart...And I just want to say something...I am not racist, but people who they have done so much, do not respect them now and forgot about all they have done for them...
Yes, they were both brothers for same cause. There struggle should not be separated in any way. The only difference were their tactics and you being White doesn't hold any weight. You need to sit your Ass down some where.
Being white does not hold any weight.?..is the complete opposite to Mr Kings ideals, all are equal despite race thats wht the guy was talking about, but you being black have other ideas..you are out of order pal
Well am I? If you knew your history King's struggle was not a color blind approach, it was a non-violent approach. Me being black (yes) makes me see things from the other side of the tracks. Mr. Wellbran for you to separate two of the finest revolutionaries America has ever produced and gave their life's to make use aware of our ignorance that's OUT OF ORDER. You being white is not the issue, your arrogance is an issue.
You are the arrogant one as white people do not hold any weight, thats what you said also I am an ethnic minority in my own country, so i do have a bit of weight Malcolm X a great revolutionary? I doubt it a black racist who craved attention going under the veil of religion Mr king was a great man
(Look) When you make a statement such as the one you made and then ask does any one have a problem with it expect to get challenged. You are technically a monitory in-fact threw out the world whole, but you still as a have a better position in this country. Malcolm X was the hate that hate produced, not a racist. I see you seem to have social amnesia or maybe I'm giving you to much credit.
When I said anyone got a problem with me being white I was tongue in cheeek seeing who was the black racists...you bit on it! Amnesia? USA has had amnesia for years and years and stuck in a rut with it, both black and white and you name it. USA is very developed country except US society is still in the dark ages. Maybe its the education system? the youing kids seem to have very narrow views like the parents and grandparents..nothing is moving on. Very backward country that way.
I agree with you 100% and if I offended you in any way that was not my intention, but I take these man very seriously. You may want to look in to a man by the name John Brown. He was a true freedom fighter; he was what I call an American.
What's so special of a white boy who pretended he was for our fight for our Emancipation struggles.
John Brown was in it for himself and I think it was more to do with the so-called War of Independence than the fight for freedom to do with African people.
Then why are you in England? I call people that sit back taking the pro this pro that Arm Chair Revalutionaries! Are you a part of a commuinty support team? I am.
Sis X, may the peace a blessing of Allah be upon you and if you have anything on you mind that may further may understanding of our struggle here in Am. or abroad please share the infornation. 1 love, Ali.
This country is about to have its first black president. I would have to say what these two men died for has finally come about. Thank you brother Malcolm and brother Martin.
malcolm x was a racist,we can understand where he came from and why he took this views and give him the excuse.but i don't think i can respect him or his views.all he wanted is turned the table.so the black take revenge from the whites for what did they do.simply think what if he succeed,do you think the white would remain silent and do nothing.ofcourse will react by violence too.but this time they will have the right too(by malcolm views as they in this case are the week people)cycle wont end
Brother Malcolm wasn't different at all, we have to study about Malcolm's principals before and even after when he resigned from the Nation of Islam, because he wanted to unite the twenty-two million Africans in America with the rest of our people.
Brother Malcolm didn't go to Mecca for so-called integrational views, but for actually learning more about his religion.
Wrong. Malcolm used to hold the white man accountable for the situation black people where in (can you actually blame him?!), but he changed after he visited Mecca and started to see that a white man could be his friend and brother too. You need to read all the information on Malcolm, not just turn a few pages and assume you know it all.
@SailorMoonRema we dont call blacks afro brits because they are black; my people are brown, and the anglo saxons / europeans are called whites... much simpler! colour is used as a physical description.... thats all
@SailorMoonRema don't mind that. As a black man I am comfortable with Black-American. It's the most suitable. For if I come from Jamaica, am I an African-American? No. I'm a Jamaican American, but including all, you can say Black American. If a white woman comes to America from Africa, what is she? She's an African-American, because that was her home. That's where she is from. Ignore the politics.
@SailorMoonRema I dont know if you are still reading this but i would ignore the above comment. Most blacks in America that I know dont like to be referred to as African Americans. Maybe it is because we have lost touch with were we came from but black describes everything without specifying anything and I think it is the most appropriate way to say whom we are.
Only until reading MLK's address to local clergy men following one of his arrest have I come to appreciate his methods. I don't want to go on too long with this comment, so I'll just quickly make my point. Once again I enjoyed the video (I could have done without the R. Kelly song), but as my knowledge of history grows, I am coming to realize the importance of uncovering the motives of prominent figures and not just taking someone else's opinion as your own just because it's published.
I think this was a great video, but I do disagree with some of the things said. I would like to say that as a child (and even in history classes that I take today) the main focus has been on the teachings of Martin Luther King, Jr, but I've always preferred Malcolm's approach. After generations of racial tensions and lynchings, it's easy to see why Malcolm X was as "radical" as people claimed he was.
Excellent job. This is a very nice video, very well put. I would only have 1 comment on Malcolm's change of philosophy. I believe his change in views came after his pilgrimage to Mecca in '64 and seeing muslims of all colors dressed in white robes praying together, sharing food, and sharing tents...all equal.
the video was nice although I urge you to go back and research Malcolm X a little more. Malcolm was a man who believed that all people were created equal and only wanted the leadership of America at that time to honor the constitutional statement that all men are created equal. he was very respectful of other people but firm in his objectives. I would urge you to read his autobiography so that you can see the true passion of his purpose, or watch the movie.
After he went to Haj (pilgrimage) in Macca and found that tremendous amount of people from all over the world with all kinds of colors and nationalities are united together eating the same food, drinking the same water, sleeping on the same beds, wearing the same cloths ..etc. All that completely destroyed the lies that Elija Muhammed, the pedophile, is been teaching him and then he found that he was nothing but a pedophile and a CIA poodle.

It is worth noting that his own violent "gang" killed Malcolm X when started getting more realistic AKA "soft".
And again, Malcolm X's main "beef" was what, that he was given a Christian name in a Christian Country?
Take a good look at New Orleans, vs. Iowa or Tennessee. All suffered floods IN THE PAST, who Got Over It fastest?

malcolm where stronger then MLK because he was not afraid of the white man. and MLK said that white and black men chould be togher and be happy. know thats rigth. but in america no white man liked the black man in the mid 1900. and malcolm said that if the white man don't want to be with us why chould we be with them, and be beaten by the white man, and arrested by the white man, and be murderd by the white man, and pay the white man so my vote goes to malcolm x - a real man
yomalek 2 years ago 12
African American (Africans in America), should vote for both of these leaders! For the simple fact that they Both had One Misson...The Progression of the"Black Race"
KnowledgeKEMET 2 years ago
i understand you, and you are rigth. but the best leder is malcolm x.
yomalek 2 years ago 4
@yomalek really? then why did his own people eventually gun him down? It took and enemy to kill Martin.
singhisking853 1 year ago
@yomalek
And above all else ALL peoples have been repressed through out history.
sparten107 10 months ago
i think they where both great men.
But Malcolm x possesed alot more concrete knowledge as well as textbook knowledge whereas King lacked concrete knowledge.
ali12147 2 years ago 5
I would strongly Agree With You!! Malcolm was a true Scholar!!
KnowledgeKEMET 2 years ago 4
Both Brother Malcolm and Brother Martin did so much for our people.
Brother Malcolm encouraged us to be self-dependent.
Brother Martin encouraged us to be liberal and to have civil rights.
I think Brother Malcolm had more political fight than Brother Martin while Brother Martin was more spiritual than Brother Malcolm.
peasah2005 2 years ago
I dont see rthe difference between the men in ur vid.
;).
In facr King;s dream does come true sometimes but Malcom X btended to call spades spades
As a white guy, if I could talk to one of them it actually would be Malcom X. disagree with his muslim part though. I do think integration, followsing King was necassry but the long term solution ismore ... food thought.
truevoiceofsanity 2 years ago
It was his 'Muslim side' that thought him not to hate on white people, but instead love them. The NWO believed otherwise and it was when Malcolm visited Mecca he came back as a new man, a more loving man who told his followers to stop calling the white man a devil, because it was in Mecca where he learned that a white man could be his brother also. So they kicked him out of NWO. It was his religion that made him the person he was and died as. Disrespecting that side of him is disrespecting him.
SofhiaX 2 years ago
Yes, it was!!!
His Christian side "should have too" but his view of Christianity was tainted by the poisoned American experience of the time.
Ironically, both Islam and Christianity have been "slave master" religions.

I respect them with all might heart...And I just want to say something...I am not racist, but people who they have done so much, do not respect them now and forgot about all they have done for them...

Malcolm X was not fit to clean Martin Luther King's shoes King was a great man...I am white...anyone got a problem with that?
WELLBRAN 2 years ago
Yes, they were both brothers for same cause. There struggle should not be separated in any way. The only difference were their tactics and you being White doesn't hold any weight. You need to sit your Ass down some where.
Bachirali 2 years ago 2
Being white does not hold any weight.?..is the complete opposite to Mr Kings ideals, all are equal despite race thats wht the guy was talking about, but you being black have other ideas..you are out of order pal
WELLBRAN 2 years ago
Bachirali 2 years ago
You are the arrogant one as white people do not hold any weight, thats what you said also I am an ethnic minority in my own country, so i do have a bit of weight Malcolm X a great revolutionary? I doubt it a black racist who craved attention going under the veil of religion Mr king was a great man
WELLBRAN 2 years ago
(Look) When you make a statement such as the one you made and then ask does any one have a problem with it expect to get challenged. You are technically a monitory in-fact threw out the world whole, but you still as a have a better position in this country. Malcolm X was the hate that hate produced, not a racist. I see you seem to have social amnesia or maybe I'm giving you to much credit.
Bachirali 2 years ago
When I said anyone got a problem with me being white I was tongue in cheeek seeing who was the black racists...you bit on it! Amnesia? USA has had amnesia for years and years and stuck in a rut with it, both black and white and you name it. USA is very developed country except US society is still in the dark ages. Maybe its the education system? the youing kids seem to have very narrow views like the parents and grandparents..nothing is moving on. Very backward country that way.
WELLBRAN 2 years ago
I agree with you 100% and if I offended you in any way that was not my intention, but I take these man very seriously. You may want to look in to a man by the name John Brown. He was a true freedom fighter; he was what I call an American.
Bachirali 2 years ago
@Bachirali
What's so special of a white boy who pretended he was for our fight for our Emancipation struggles.
John Brown was in it for himself and I think it was more to do with the so-called War of Independence than the fight for freedom to do with African people.

I have been a freedom fighter for fifteen years, you don't know even know what I do.
I have been in the struggles and I am not bothered what you say.
All I know is I didn't ask to come to England, because my father was a student in England.
At the end of the day, I've been in so many battles, that I don't need to prove.

This country is about to have its first black president. I would have to say what these two men died for has finally come about. Thank you brother Malcolm and brother Martin.
smartdread 3 years ago
malcolm x was a racist,we can understand where he came from and why he took this views and give him the excuse.but i don't think i can respect him or his views.all he wanted is turned the table.so the black take revenge from the whites for what did they do.simply think what if he succeed,do you think the white would remain silent and do nothing.ofcourse will react by violence too.but this time they will have the right too(by malcolm views as they in this case are the week people)cycle wont end
engmina85 3 years ago
WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!! Malcolm-X, after he returned from Mecca was a hold different person and Dr.King last speech was not "I have a Dream."
NO, the cycle won't end it coming to a area near you sit back and watch the movie ;)
Bachirali 2 years ago
@Bachirali
Brother Malcolm wasn't different at all, we have to study about Malcolm's principals before and even after when he resigned from the Nation of Islam, because he wanted to unite the twenty-two million Africans in America with the rest of our people.
Brother Malcolm didn't go to Mecca for so-called integrational views, but for actually learning more about his religion.
peasah2005 1 year ago
You lost me (?) Intergration views (?) Where was that in my statement?
Bachirali 1 year ago
Wrong. Malcolm used to hold the white man accountable for the situation black people where in (can you actually blame him?!), but he changed after he visited Mecca and started to see that a white man could be his friend and brother too. You need to read all the information on Malcolm, not just turn a few pages and assume you know it all.
SofhiaX 2 years ago
White man in AMERICA ..not the ones in Mecca he still had his gaurd up against whitepeople..
BahamasIllestMC 2 years ago
I understand. But he did say that the hate towards white men in America should diseappear and instead pray for them.

i will do that next time. i just did what my teacher said. i apologize if i offended you in any way. thanks for the comment though.

Very welcome, that is all alright, we are all always learning to respect each other. You won't be smiling if I call you the pink girl!
and the Chinese will not be smiling if you call them yellow.
rochillz 3 years ago
@SailorMoonRema we dont call blacks afro brits because they are black; my people are brown, and the anglo saxons / europeans are called whites... much simpler! colour is used as a physical description.... thats all
whoareyapauldunn 1 year ago

Kelly song), but as my knowledge of history grows, I am coming to realize the importance of uncovering the motives of prominent figures and not just taking someone else's opinion as your own just because it's published.
ambailey09 4 years ago
I think this was a great video, but I do disagree with some of the things said. I would like to say that as a child (and even in history classes that I take today) the main focus has been on the teachings of Martin Luther King, Jr, but I've always preferred Malcolm's approach. After generations of racial tensions and lynchings, it's easy to see why Malcolm X was as "radical" as people claimed he was.
ambailey09 4 years ago
Excellent job. This is a very nice video, very well put. I would only have 1 comment on Malcolm's change of philosophy. I believe his change in views came after his pilgrimage to Mecca in '64 and seeing muslims of all colors dressed in white robes praying together, sharing food, and sharing tents...all equal.
fadel78 4 years ago
thanks for the nice comment. Finding the true cause for Malcolms change in philosophy was difficult to find. You could be right. ☺
SailorMoonRema 4 years ago
the video was nice although I urge you to go back and research Malcolm X a little more. Malcolm was a man who believed that all people were created equal and only wanted the leadership of America at that time to honor the constitutional statement that all men are created equal. he was very respectful of other people but firm in his objectives. I would urge you to read his autobiography so that you can see the true passion of his purpose, or watch the movie.
alfathree 3 years ago
@SailorMoonRema Absolutely true.
