Wow, never played the handheld metroid Castlevania's ever since symphony of the night. i think many people feel Sotn is still the best one because it was their first experience and the atmosphere and settings were very appropriate.

what happens to soma. He doesn't appear in all the other castlevania games (or I think not) and there are er... I think three endings in Dawn of Sorrow. So which one is real. I know it's not the one where you defeat dario. But do Julius and the others kill him, or does he live?

The real ending is Soma doesn't turn to the dark side. What you are seeing is a what-if story showing you what would happen if Soma gives in to his dark nature and became evil.
