  • Meravigliosa :)

  • and amen my grossnase from marburg

  • Beautiful and brooding.

  • Love Love Love!

  • Czesc.Jak slucham tej cudownej piosenki to az ciarki leca mi po ciele. To brzmienie gitar, spokojna perka i ton oraz glos wokalisty jest perfect...

  • I love Larry on this pictures...

  • This is a signature Adam song. The only song this bass intensive in U2's career. The bass patterns just keep on chopping and changing all along. AND it was the band aid for my first real break up. I've nothing but love for this song.

  • brooding B-side. dark & moody. I think all U2 fans have their own imagery they pair with certain songs, yes? My imagery for The Unforgettable Fire is very different from my imagery for The Joshua Tree. Depends where you were in your life at the time, too. I was 13 when I discovered U2, so obviously they made a huge impression on me, and will always have a special place in my heart.

  • this song reminds me of driving from san diego california to ensenada mexico back in 88 with my girl........man what a great time we would have in all the cantinas down in mex.....i agree this is one of u2's best songs.

  • This song was made for the gods

  • In my opinion it's best U2 song 5/5 and fav :D

  • One of the best and most underlistened U2 songs ever.......I'll hit replay 6-7x's in a row.

  • You can hear Clayton plays bass two different ways in this, changing style in the "All roads lead to where you are" section of the song.Nice touch........

  • Una más B-Sides

  • Listening to this is what I'd imagine having an out of body experience is like. It's haunting, mysterious, beautiful. It is the best U2 song ever - there I said it.

  • I agree, one of the best, but underrated and underplayed U2 songs!!! In my top 5!

  • haha whenever i wear one of my cool u2 t shirts to school i roll my sleeves to look like larry!

  • "I can't live to love again...love comes tumbling down again"....sigh

  • great song.. "all roads lead to where you are.."

  • masterpiece

  • Great song. Should have made the final cut for Unforgettable Fire.

  • in Coimbra Portugal he pass so close to me :D in the car he´s so HOTTTT

  • Maybe the most underrated and Unknown song written by U2. It´ very beautiful, especially the opening chords, the rythmic section, The atmospheric sound, etc

  • This is a great song to make love to! One of their best!

  • I wish they could play this song live when they come here next year.

  • Can someone tell me what happened to the facebook interface? I can't find the button to post this to my page.

  • Love this song !!!

  • ..ma quanto basso c'è???????

    Meraviglia!!!!!

  • La mejor

  • If all roads lead to a place, they must lead away also.

  • I love this song! Beautiful pictures!

  • Still have the vinyl - thanks for the fix without dragging out the old EP!

  • If it wasn't for this Gorgeous song I wouldn't be the U2 fan I am Today

  • Awesome Job! TYVM for posting this song! (:

  • ...beautiful....lot´s of good memories...

  • Great KittichanU2, well done, his beauty is incontestable, throught i prefer him in Boy era haha

  • una cancion melodiosa en realidad

  • also love it especially in fall and winter

  • OK OK... he's a 'hunk'. But I still think this is one of the most beautiful songs in U2's collection. Can't think how many times this song has lulled me to sleep after a hard day with just the equalizers lights hopping up and down in the background.... and I'm a guy!! :-)

  • @VipersHockeyLeftD well said buddy i have always liked this sog to chill too.

  • love it ;*

  • The Electrical Storm video also celebrates the beauty of Larry nicely. I do love the choice of images on this Love Comes Tumbling.

  • Love this tune. I had this version on a collection of B sides from The U Fire album ( My fav album by U2). Great post.

  • Any video featuring nothing but Larry is a favorite of mine!!!!!

  • The only u2 song I really like.

  • bel'video U2 è fantastico,mi piace..grazie amico 68giampiero per la condivisione.

  • For me, Between "War" and "JT" was the peak.

  • Hands down the best U2 single that never was.

  • Still one of the saddest songs I`ve ever heard - love it

  • magical song :)

  • Had the EP WAiA, best record of the early 80s, this is such a fine, fine track. Really should be played at all of their gigs - rather than silliness like Pride ...

  • Nice list

    would add:

    Drowning Man

    Acrobat

    Exit

    Zooropa

    Zoo station

    Deep in the heart

  • such a great song...U2 has so much awesome B-sides to make not just one but two great albums..

one of my top five, for shure...

    New Years day

    One

    Party girl

    Love comes tumbling

    11 o'clock tick tock

  • still one of my U2 favs

  • love my U2. wish they did this one live more often.

  • Wow...almost forgot about this one..wish they did this one live!

  • uma fase da minha vida, mas que ficou marcada para o todo sempre!!!!!

    a melhor banda!!!

  • ...........absolutely beautiful...............

  • U2's hidden gem!!!...congratulations!!!. you are a true U2 fan if you have found this song...and as a true fan please slowly close your eyes at the 3:20 mark and relax..... at 3:30 U2 will take you to a place which you have never been before....lets the journey begins!!!

  • Totally agree. This song is really simple but conjures up something special. Classic

  • Larry is just too cute ;_; :3 I luv him! <3 And the song is too nice! ;_; <3

  • Extremely underrated!!! What a GREAT song!!!

  • When U2 were the Radiohead of the 80s. Great tune, most of U2s best songs are found on b-sides. Recently, one feels they're not trusting their gut instinct and instead playing safe... but once upon a time... what a great band. Anyway my rant over....

  • I love this song...but I love it more now thanks to this video :)

    <3 Larry!!!

  • So blissful...yet one of the group's most obscure songs.

  • i..he. hes too..hes sooo...i. his ummm.larry....yeah,thats all i got,

  • The bomb!!

  • has to be a classic as far as u2, one of my favorite bands of all time

  • what's the song before this one starts?? the first 4 seconds

  • It's the same song

  • maybe my favorite song of U2...

  • i love this song

  • This song reminds me of a girl back in 1986.

    Great song.

  • so what happened??

  • I hate to bust up the party, but I don't think Larry Mullen played on this song. I am also pretty sure Brian Eno played bass on this song. Unbelievably beautiful song. I am a 40 year old guy who has loved U2 since I was like 12. I can do this song with a drum machine and a 4 track. I feel this was a test track for "The Unforgettable Fire", which is argueably my favorite U2 album.

  • Me too..."The Unforgettable Fire" is an absolute masterpeice. "A Sort Of Homecoming" is my favourite U2 track of all time.

  • this song its so amazing!!! i love those times with unfurgettable fire and joshua

    what happen with U2 now??

  • Great song! Thank you for posting it!

Can I ask where you got the pictures at 0:50, 2:13 and 4:16? Those are really cool pics of Larry!

    Thank you!

  • One of the greatest song, that is made of the greatest band of all time !!! I agree with the fact that this never made it to a real studio-album. Can't understand why !! Anyway, another reason why '' Wide Awake In America'' is a small, but priceless album !

  • This would've fit well on the Joshua Tree, better than Mothers of the disappeared I feel. It has that late 80s U2 twang to it. Great little number, made all the better that it is so tucked away on Wide Awake in America.

  • It's almost a scandal why this never made any of the albums particualarly the Unforgettable Fire. One of my very favourite U2 tracks. Thanks for uploading this.

  • Great sound of Adam's bass!

  • I adore this song, it's difficult for me to pick a favorite from u2, cause there they have so many extraordinary ones, like new years day, or more recently windows in the sky

  • Oh my god. Ive only just realised KittichanU2 is German. And I made a foul comment on here not long ago...I feel so bad.

  • first read than speak.

  • No no no! I really am sorry. I have no problem with the fact that you are German. I know I shoudnt of said what I did. I was speaking in anger at the time and it was only afterwards I realised what a nasty thing I had said. And now reviewing my comment...I am sincerely sorry.

  • yeah man, I understand. sometimes I'm saying things I should be ashamed of afterwards. And I must admit that there are many stupid German idiots and I hate it when they comment on my videos with their German-pride-messages, because that really sucks and is in a way the reason why every other nation still hate Germans... and that's sad.

  • Oh dont say that. I dont hate German people. Im not that nasty. I mean theres a German kid at my college called Ralf and I get along with him fine. If anything I like him more than I like my British friends. You dont know how ashamed I am at my comment Kittichan... Im so f***ing annoyed with myself.

  • @KittichanU2 whats the point of hating anybody?

  • @zsuzsannasalda huh????

  • larry lindo;perfeito e o melhor baterista do mundo.

  • @Rotaryfatboy So why make stupid comments then? if you'll get caught?

  • Well, unbelievable, that this song is a B-SIDE(!!!). Never ever listend to such a perfect song before. The guitar is at the end is...PERFECT. So intensive. Much better than these overrated Shred and Trash Kings.

  • This song is like a dark beautiful secret.

  • 4:03-4:19. Ohhhhhh I love that guitar! What a fantastic song. All I listen to all day, everyday is U2. They are musical gods in my opinion. Thank you for the upload.

  • Totally agree with you. What about minute 4:19 till the end. Oh my Lord! If you listen carefully you'll notice that the guitar and bass sound heavenly, absolutely amazing sound, something out of this world. An overall incredible song. Song's good throughout. Can not believe is so underrated. One of my favorite U2 songs, if not my favrorite.

  • Too right "locoluckyman". That guitar works so well wath that bass line towards the end. Next to "A Sort Of Homecoming"...this is easily my second favourite U2 song.

  • And yet again Rotaryfatboy and U2Fan have stolen words from me about this incredible band.

Hi U2, sorry for not replying. I was away on holiday with my family and recently got married too. My wife now realizes how deeply I am in love with this band. She likes them too now :)

Cheers (belated) HAPPY CHRISTMAS (and as me being muslim, to all muslim brothers A HAPPY EID) and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

  • No problem manzone! Happy New Year to you as well. And congratulations on getting married!

  • The crescendo of guitars at the end, from 03:31, is 60 seconds of pure heaven. It makes you feel like an other-worldly being just to witness it.

  • Absolutely spot on

  • Soooooooooooooooooo addictive...

  • This song makes me hard!!!!!!!!! mmmmmmmmmm

  • Oh ! I love Bono, I love U2 and I LOVE this song !

  • Danke Shane

Thank You For putting this video up

It is like a spiritual awakening

  • HeirApparent..Do not for one moment ruin the soothing enviroment in here. For sure you're the biggest MOTHERFUCKING COCKSUCKER on youtube.

Fucking Germans..only live on blood and sex.

    COCKSUCKER

  • Your right manzone91. That kraut HeirApparent can go and fuck himself up the ass. U2 FOR LIFE!

  • Cheers Rotaryfatboy. Bless you. Good to see some decent music lovers who atleast can acknowledge the good and ignore the bad

  • Your welcome. It really annoys me when people slag off U2 when they are so brilliant. Makes you wonder what kind of music all the haters like. Thanks for the nice comment.

  • I am very sorry that I am German, too. I really have to apologize for my background...

  • Voor Beatrix.

The B-side is sometimes the best.

    Everlasting Fumbling Love Forever!!!

    Van Guido

  • always loved this song. it is different as someone else said. it hypnotic.

  • It does sound like a nighttime song; something ethereal about it. The theme about the unrealistic expectations we have in relationships makes it timeless.

My brother & I could never make out the lyric, "Seed is spilt; the bed defiled."

Larry is a major babe: this collage is perfect!

  • geniale cette sik me prend o tripes

  • When I first heard this song... I would play it every night as I fell asleep....this was like my secret song from them...the masses would know most other song from U2...but only true fans would know this one.

  • I used to think of this song as my secret song as well... a song that, as far as I was concerned, I was the only listener. I had it on my Unforgettable Fire EP cassette and would listen to it in my Sony walkmen on overcast, misty days.

It's still one of my favourites, and yet, so unknown... yet captures the essence of ethereal, atmospheric U2 of the 80's.

  • best u2 b side imo

  • i have been listening to this song about 15 years ago and still never ever get sick of it..and still listening to it...what a brilliant song...so dreamy so sexy and everything else..."all roads lead to where you are"

  • Love this son pretty much Thx a lot!!!!

  • One of the best songs by best band ever u2...

    U2 SRBIJA - FACEBOOK

  • Larry fue mi primer amor platónico del mundo musical ^^

Es bonito ver esto y recordarlo... Oh si xDDD

  • Si el es muy guapo!!!!!!

  • sublime

  • me encanta esta cancion y tu pagina chulisimaaaaaaaa

  • This feature of U2 of ending songs with music is amazing. Love Comes Tumbling,Heartland,Streets,With or Without, and others maybe (dont come to mind now). This ending sums up my life initially remembering and then strengthening when it gets to higher tones. One word....BRILLIANT!!!

    This is a great band

  • I have (OK had) the Original EP and always thought those 4 songs were the best ever.... but especially this one. Friends who hear it always ask where they can find it and I tell them good luck... until now!

  • love it!

  • a very distinctive mid 80s vibe isnt't it? beautiful:)

  • a wonderful song, loved it for years - can see why it didn't make the album as it's too different in feel.

  • 'Wide Awake in America' EP- The perfect four songs- you can listen to it over and over- so beautiful; the live version of 'Bad' is by far the superior to the studio version.

  • Wow, this is incredible...it has definitely earned a place in my favorites.

  • Second that.

  • third that lol

  • Along With In Gods Country, Bad and Bass trap.

One Of My Favorite U2 songs. A True Classic

  • seems like we have the same favs ^^

  • E' semplicemente meravigliosa.(come lo è la band)

  • Thank you!!!!

  • Oh god this song is very sexy!!!

  • One of my favourite U2 songs ever, and a shame it was only ever a rarity... Dreamy, moody and sexy as hell. *sigh*

  • maybe my favourite u2 song...very mysterious and melancholic

  • 100% agree

  • U2's beauty shines through this song. Wide Awake in America, indeed. Love, love, love it. "All roads lead to where you are..."
