I owned this with the 2nd Turtles GB game. The 2nd one was much better by a long shot. This game still is good, and I can understand anyone not liking it. It is the least of the bunch.
This game brings back so many memories. I remember playing it all the time and imagining what kind of bosses there would be at the end of the game. Where does the time go.....
For some strange reason this game was very expensive. I remember it cost like almost double of what u d pay for some other normal games for the gameboy. Never was a turtles fan, so i wasnt interested anyway.
yeah, the music was even better then on the NES i must admit(Turtles 1 on NES didnt even have the Turtles theme in the game),and for a Gameboy game without flickering when the screen is filled with enemies its remarkable, but still i never played it much and gave it away after a year or so.
The NES games were better, Borin, but this was an impressive game nonetheless. I had this as a teenager, and loved it. Its large sprite size (without any flicker) was a huge technical achievement for the time. Even the music was top notch. Though this is Konami we're talking about here...their music was always amazing.
One of the best GBA games of the first generation.
I'm sure you're right about the NES Turtles games being superior, but I never owned that console so I don't have much experience with them. You're not the only one who doesn't like this game, though...

This game is the summary of my childhood! It's crazy how one game can bring me back to the good old days. DAMN I MISS IT!

Sometimes you just want to play a game you know you can beat in 15 minutes, for a quick sense of accomplishment. This is a perfect example!
