The more "activism" I see on here the more I see non-events being labeled as "fights," "wins," and "opression."
And this whole camera bit. I would think a person is entitled to having a request not to be filmed honored. What's that whole bit about living so long as you dont infringe on the rights of others? What if he showed up at the supermarket, shoved a camera in your face and refused to shut it off after you asked politely?
@NavyCop20070221 But since when do you have a right not to be video taped in a public place? The supermarket owners get to decide who is allowed to record video inside their store by the way because that's private property.
Calling yourself a Journalist does not make you one. I can call myself an Actor but SAG wont agree. Videotaping a Post office wow bad move why dont you yell FIRE in a theater and Bomb in an Airport, you have the right.
well he's produced well over 700 videos of the fsp, national news, and the activism that occurs in nh. He interviews politicians and goes where the news is happening. What is a journalist if not ridley? Do you have to be part of the mainstream. Does he need to be backed by fox news or some big newspaper. Is this type of citizen journalism not a check against the larger and more co-opted news reporting agencies out there?
@wait887 Anyone can make a bunch of videos and claim they are media. This guy is a crack pot. Why mess with the post office??? They just want to bring us the mail lol
just because SAG says you're not an actor doesn't mean you're not. Not everyone is union in this country, you might be a crappy actor or you might be a good one.
If you actually try to act and such you're an actor
Government officials that have something to hide are the only ones who should be afraid of being videotaped for the public. They are OUR representatives. They work for us as public servants. They can't just tell you "Don't film me in public." I mean, we obviously can't break into their houses and question them when they're sleeping at 3 in the morning.
Free state project is looking more desirable the more I learn about NH. Hm... I am graduating college in a few years and will be on my own soon after that when I get a job and real income.
Ron Paul's showing in NH was a bit of a disappointment to me...BUT: he actually did better in the NH primary than almost any other primary, and at a time when _all_ the other candidates were still competing for votes.
Bear in mind that McCain had won NH in the previous primary, Romney has a house in NH and was governor of MA next door, and Rudy was a huge household name/media personality. Name recognition was a very big problem for Ron Paul in NH. Given all that, it's amazing he got 8% IMO.
Hope they don't "go postal". LOL Can't you cite some law that says you have permission to be there and what you are doing is perfectly legal? Looks like if it is legal, they should know this. And furthermore, you are not petitioning to end the federal government's monopoly on the postal business, your petition is about local spending in a city. What is their problem with that??? Their stance on this seems bizarre to me.
A law that says it is legal to do it? Don't you mean where is the law that could possibly restrict it? We don't (shouldn't) need permission from the 'state' to do anything. We do not derive our rights from the government. The government gets its limited powers from the people.
"Permission Status"????? How about: "I am a citizen of the United States of America." And furthermore, "You [the postal worker]are an employee of the United States of American and therefore must present your status to confront me in any way."
Why are all the people who do these videos such complete and absolute sleezebag blatherskites?
Seriously, does it make you feel important? Get a life.

Check out "Postal Rap" It will not post for whatever reason.
Judge Paul V. Gadola, Mimi Gendreau, Avern Cohn, Jerome Blum all work to protect the US postal service from being held accountable.
They all denied me my human rights; a grand jury will not touch them, maybe because they have something on the grand jury.
We are fighting a war in Iraq for freedom and protection and America will not protect us from the USPS and its paid judges.

Ron Paul came in 5th in New Hampshire, below even Rudy Guiliani. Doesn't sound like there are a lot of "liberty lovers" there yet.

It was postal workers who were the main spys and snitches who helped put Ed & Elain Brown into federal prison.
