yes, i know marga. james brown fred astaire and gene kelly where the inspiration for michael how to dance. when michael did the first time the moonwalk he got a day later compliments from fred and gene and they told him he was a dancer like them
Oh Gurl, you give me soooo much pleasure with ALL your Gene videos (looks like my passed dad!) , I love Him, what a genius/entertainer. I have some dvd's, I like to watch here at that HOT STUFF. I am searching still for dvd's from That's Entertainment with Fred Astaire: That long documentary is HOT STUFF also, but I cannot find it anywhere unfortunately. Keep on adding videos like this please.....Marga and have a GOOD and Healthy 2011 !
Thanks for your comment, really glad you like my videos. :)
I actually have all three That's entertainment, found it on a Swedish site called Megastore.se. But you can also find it on Ebay time to time. They are really great! Right now I'm waiting for Take me out to the ballgame to arrive. Just a VHS though, since you can't find it on DVD without Spanish cover...and I'm a little picky. :P
Thank you so very much! I just watched that scene... truly fantastic! In fact, I'll be able to watch the whole movie on TV because they are showing it on the classics channel here in US tomorrow. What a wonderful coincidence! Thanks again! Hugs =)
If you like classic musicals, you'll like it. Be aware, though, Gene is only in that "Slaughter on Tenth Ave" number in the movie. But, the film is still worth it!
Yes, I liked it. It's a biopic based on the partnership of Rodgers and Hart, and the songs they composed together. The performances and dancing numbers are really enjoyable, and of course, Gene is... yummylicious! ;)
Okey, sounds cool! Maybe I'll buy it one of these days...but this time of the year you have to think of Christmas gifts you know. ;) I remember when I saw Ziegfeld follies the first time...it made me a little disapointed although I just LOVE both Gene, Judy Garland, Fred Astaire and Red Skelton...but still it didn't give me the big 'Ooooh...!' if you know what I mean. :P That's why I'm a little sceptic to Words and Music...but hey...who knows?
love your Gene Kelly video's! he is hot stuff :)
