  • thumbs up if u think this a waste of time and money!!

  • I SINCERELY HOPE THAT THE QUALITY OF OUR FUTURE PARLIAMENTARIANS WILL MATCH THE QUALITY OF THEIR SEATS.

  • Instead of wasting money renovating this useless structure, give doctors, teachers, army and the rest of Kenya a raise. Money spent building the vice president's house should be used to give doctors a raise. Somehow when it comes to spending taxpayers money on their pet projects, the govt finds money.

  • lol @1:35. u the best Nagila!!

  • MISPLACED BUNCH OF CROOKS...PAY THE DOCTORS AND THE ARMY.so every mp must be computer literate haha...we better elect smart ones next year

  • I like the way the legislators are acting like they will own up the space come 2012.Woe unto you!!--This is just a misplaced priority..idps,hunger,drought,rising cost of living,al shabab but amidst all these,a parliament gets to be re modified..wait.. Milimani High Court is next>>>

  • we are fucked.

  • KSH 400,000 for a fucking seat?..who the fuck do you think you are talking to?

  • I have to give this thugs 10/10 for creativity. Al shabaab should just come to Nairobi and chinja these guys

  • It has a nice customized look... but 400,000 a fucking seat FUCK ME

  • are the seats made of glass, marble, cherry wood or platinum?

but wait, they were voted in by Kenyans!

  • I passed out and came to just in time to comment....FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND A SEAT?!

these oxymorons better get off their backsides and get back to work

  • it seems to me kenya belong 2 this what call ministers.

it sad to see how poor kenyans are suffering and to see this

  • ksh 400,000 a seat?? where is this country headed seriously??..now those MPigs will go there to sleep and pass no bills..and.this is a country that depend on donor funding...the doctors are on the streets now demanding better pay, the other day teachers...pathetic roads, hunger in arid areas..but they govt doesn't give a damn about all that..talk of priorities in reverse!

  • fuckin 400,000ksh for a seat?thugs in the govt!

  • Luxurious parliament, luxury VP hse & luxurious PM offices for a 3rd world country that often asks for food aid to feed it starving populace. Its times like these i'm happy kenya isn't awash with cash because our spending priorities are shitty.

  • Before they sit on that leather, they have a date with Kenyans on election day.

  • 400K is the " total sum" for a seat. The true seat cost is 120K. 280K is what is set aside to be 'eaten'. Why are you all acting like this is news to you?

  • The Scottish parliament example fits this picture very well, they also spend over and above the budget, you are in good company.

  • @drsugarcane,l wonder do you see the poverty in kenya and they dare talk, someone is out to pocket that money.why refurbish it now,and not after the next election.eat man,eat society.

  • ksh 400,000 a seat, a laptop and an ipad not bad for a 3rd world country parliament. Such expensive luxury is not even afforded to the UK parliament in London where MPs sit on benches, no laptop and no Ipads yet they are one of our main financial donors. By the way, how come we can't afford to pay our doctors and teachers???

  • @karuitha : As usual we have our priorities backward!

  • i would love to see the chair that costs 400 000 made by the prison's department...

  • I love that we have finally Africanized our own parliament from colonial hangovers. Wake up Kenyans!

  • @drsugarcane dude such things dnt matter......but i agree with you

  • Always a supporter of improvement BUT if the ceiling starts collapsing on our legislators as we have seen at the new law courts then what? Speaker Marende in this clips talks about an average of Ksh400,000/= per wooden chair covered in leather i.e $usd4,444.00 per legislator, all constructed by the Kenya Prisons Department. Now, I'm not trying to be cheap but considering all material will be domestic and the prisons department labur costs are on the low side..... what I'm I missing here?
