so i copied it into the right folder, started, quit, moved the file into the new folder, and tried again...it asked me if i wanted to resume "my" save game, to which i responded "why, yes, good sir!"...aaaaaaaaaand it went back to the title screen...wtf did i do wrong?

problem. i followed this process and it seemed to work fine. i press load the past game and nothing happens and im still at the main menu. i press play its again and its a new game. help?

Ok so I figured it out with a ton of searching my computer. The save file isn't also where the game is for me the save files were located in AppData folder. So you have to go there and do like the instructions say and copy the files that you extracted to it. remeber to turn steam cloud off, etc.

Same problem. Cloud's off, "are you bilbo?" "Would you like to restore your save?" But nothing's on the field to defend the base so fast forwarding just kills you. Tried un/reinstalling, same shit. Guess I'm completely worthless too.

This works guys. Just throw the folder in the rar in the folder before Documents, Pictures, Videos etc. and start up the game with Steam Cloud turned off. Then play the bonus game and just fast forward and the game ends soon enough together with you that you got the achievement. After I got the achievement I deleted the folder and turned Steam Cloud on again. Easy as that.

Can't find the location of where it stores saves with the SteamCloud off. It's not in C:\Users\"user name" for me.

Disable steam cloud, start game and it will make a folder ".revenge_of_the_titans_1.80" in your user folder. Copy the contents of the .rar file into it. Start the game again and play the christmas level, it will start a fresh new game. Quit the game again, go back to the folder and there will be a "slots_1.80" with another folder "bilbo" inside. Move the "savedGame_4.dat" into the bilbo folder. Start the game again and it will ask to restore the saved game. There is probably a better way but meh

You need to extract the folder out of the .rar when you are done it should look some thing like this.

C:\Users\USERNAME\ .revenge_of_the_titans_1.80

don't forget to turn off cloud saves or it wont work.

I turned off save clouds, it says "welcome bilbo" on top, but I can't restore the save file. it just starts a new game
