Ok, well I got great news!

The 1313 firmware will reduce the FBr on the GT30 also!

It's not noticeable any more, only if you take a very very good look.

I'll will post a video soon to compare before and after the 1313 firmware update.

Got the new GT30 and it has exactly the same problems as the one I had before. But with a bit of luck there will be a firmware update available within 2 weeks. More info soon.

newest firmware for US as of this post is 2.06, and it DOES NOT fix the fluctuating brightness or gama issues. So frustrating. Going to probably return for another brand.

New Firmware is coming next week. Check the highdefjunkies forum. It fixes the Fluctuating Brightness problem!

do you have it online (LAN)? maybe a fix is available. i heard the 30s series can update itself.

Update: Panasonic is going to replace my tv for a new one. The bad thing is that I need to wait an other month before that can deliver. So begin July I will test that tv again. Same shot, same game and let us hope that the problem is reduced.

What size is that tv? Also, how do you guys have these? I thought they weren't in stores til later this month. Get back to me.I'm going to get one anyway. I think yours is the only one i've seen or heard of this issue from. Thanks and Ihope it fixes itself for you. I would send it back and ask for another before getting rid of it if that's your only complaint.

@Black1349 It's a 46 inch from Germany (redcoon webshop). The problem is bigger that expacted. Seach for 'Fluctuating Brightness Panasonic' and you will find more of this issue. When I have more info from Panasonic I'll will post it here.

I just got my GT30 and i have no problem like that .. maby its only in halo try another game

@JSKHFUSHFHI It's also on other games and movies. I recorded in halo because there you can clearly see it.

i recently bought a bargain s20a model which was last yr models and having the floating black problems too but its not as bad as in forums described i think i can live with it lol

@ilordvader Problem is not solved but in THX mode it isn't as bad as in game mode or professional mode.

oh gosh it's really visible. in game it seems a lot quicker. what do you see in movies?

@amdnovello You can see it also in movies. See my second video. Home care could not fix the problem. They are talking with Panasonic what the next step will be.

How many hours has it been running? According to Avforums the problem will be reduced to very little after 125 hours of break in!

@mart198i I think for 70 hours now, but there are people with more then 120 and they say the problem does not go away. Got 3 more days to decide. If I don't get more info from Panasonic this screen goes back to the shop.

Zou ik graag van je willen zien.. ik overweeg dit scherm toch nog steeds het meest... Heb jij het idee dat het 50hz probleem verholpen is? Zo nee, zou je hier ook wat van kunnen plaatsen? Toch jammer dat er elke keer weer 'iets' is, de pana's hebben zo een mooi beeld...

@ezdrivemobile Moet je eerlijk zeggen dat ik geen 50hz bug heb opgemerkt, maar dat kan wellicht komen omdat ik nu telkens let op de schommelende helderheid.

@grazcoolguy Good question, but it looks like the European model does not have that option. But I can ensure you that all of those option where set to 'off'.

I found out that in gamemode the screen also has FB problems, but it changes faster and so it's less noticeable. I will change the description.

Ben benieuwd, sta op het punt dit scherm aan te schaffen.. Hoe is de input/lag en response bij het gamen?

@ezdrivemobile Gamen gaat prima, merk geen vertraging. Volgens mij ligt de inputlag bij deze tv op 24ms in Game Mode. In andere modes weet ik het niet, maar ik merk geen verschil tussen de gamemode en de andere modes.

Ook in THX komt het voor, maar wel een stuk minder. Zal is kijken of ik dat op beeld kan krijgen.
