Hi Elissa yes your cute but not enough light on you to see you my guess is your just shy and that OK I did give you a thumbs up and thanks for you time.
But using green tea is also OK to use and it is healthier then black tea.
You need to cool down the boiling water because the Scoby dose not like hot water over 80.F so I read.
It OK for the Scoby to float on the Bottom it dose happen.
Never use any metal on your Scoby because it will hurt the Scoby or kill it so I read.
hey thanks for the informative approch your helpful im going to "like" this, also sum "raw foodies" recomend not boiling the water, but use a sun method for the tea also using raw sugar, agave, or raw honey! your awsome thanks
@amzuel420 No, I did just what she said and got a good little scoby goin with a three dollar bottle of the stuff from whole foods, never had to buy one off the net or get one from someone or anything like that
Merely touching the SCOBY with metal or plastic isn't going to do anything. Unless the metal or plastic sits for days or weeks then you might have a point.
you shouldnt use metal, like that folk, the scoby reacts with metal.

@trampborn2run
Do not use raw honey, unless you want to contaminate everything. It has to be pasteurized.

I've never heard of Kambucha before till this day and your video helped me understand more. Now I want to start making my own.
One question...can you use green tea or any other teas besides black or even Yerba Mate?
Thanks.

wait...so...does it get alcoholic?
imabadspeler 2 years ago
Slightly yes, but it's very little alcohol, we're talking you'd have to drink like 10 cans worth to equal 1 can of beer.

Gya! Don't use a metal fork on the scoby! The scoby will leach out bad stuff from the metal and get all funky. Always use wood or plastic
