I don't know if it's Lugansky playing too loud or the microphones not being placed correctly but at some moments the piano totally covers the violin.

great playing from both but they are out of sync from 4.40- 5.30 apr. they had a bad day I guess.

@SevenCircles I don't think you fully appreciate the difficulty of this piece. Really, the only time they are even slightly out of sync during that 50-second interval is when Lugansky pushes ahead during the pizzicato section (perhaps he could be more sensitive to the difficulty of the violin part there, but Repin is a sport).
