This is a very awesome video my friend. Well explained. The Scriptures are very clear and full of revelation that Jesus is God, not a god, but the God Almighty. Could a mere man walk on water, forgive sins, raise the dead, etc, etc, etc. Even Christians are afraid to say it. Thomas said to Jesus My Lord and God. Did Jesus rebuke him? Of course not, for God has revealed Himself to us in Jesus Christ (Amen).

Good point at the end, regarding God being a community of social loving persons from all eternity and therefore His nature is loving and social. I never thought of that.

I was raised as a JW and their arguments (even now when I am no longer with them) had me confused. This has been the one issue I have seen many sides to and have fought to understand. I have prayed over this much and even read up on the Greek translation that uses the red "a" in 1st John. I have prayed on this for the last few weeks and this video has finally helped me put the struggle to understand this topic to rest. **Thank you** so so much, you are helping more people than you realize!

@LycaonsBane There is also a small degree of self indulgence in the attempt to earn karma by our own means as suppose to recieving karma as a gift from the Creator, that is another reason why the "by our own efforts" is wrong, any form of self indulgence is wrong.
@LycaonsBane There is a small degree of boasting in our hearts when we acheive something by our works instead of recieving it from the Creator who loves us. I'm sure that if there is nirvana then there is something opposite of nervana which would be horrible to experience (kind of like hell) and like all things there exists the opposites of things, the opposite of light, the opposite of life, the opposite of positive karma/ nirvana, there exists the opposite of heaven, opposites can't merge.

@LycaonsBane just following the footsteps of the buddha is still teaching people to attain positive karma by their efforts, Jesus saves us by literally doing the works FOR US, that it's not by us following Jesus footsteps, but rather that Jesus himself conqured all nagative karma all by himself so that just trusting Jesus's name can sheild us from all negative karma without doing anything to avoid bad karma; in other words Jesus IS the king of karma & he GAVE us positive karma as a gift of love.

@LycaonsBane Sure buddhism can be faith based, but what are they putting their faith in to be saved. The kind of buddhism that can save someone is christian buddhism, were one would center their faith on Jesus's good works to inherit positive karma after death; I learned that there are a large number of Japanese christian buddhists living in Japan (I saw it in a documentery, it was interesting), were there are Japanese buddhists who have a picture of Jesus in the middle of their buddhist shrine
@LycaonsBane But the original christian text say that it is by faith in the trinity that one is saved because the works of the trinity gave us salvation, just simply having faith in God without having faith in God's kindness won't save anyone any better than someone having faith in an idol to be saved; it is faith in God's kindness to us that brings salvation. Does the sect of buddhism teach people to have faith in theirselves to be saved? Is that what they mean by faith for salvation?
@LycaonsBane Whether buddhism calls it positive karma or not it still teaches people to earn a "reward", to earn positive karma, by their own efforts. Yet the "karma" of the Trinity (god of judeo- christianity) is owned by the trinity and is given to us by the trinity's kindness/ forgivness. It is veiled to those who are not humbled enough to give up on the mindset that they can earn it through their own works.
@LycaonsBane It doesn't matter, all the religons, except for judeo- christianity, teach us that we can attain/ gain salvation by our means rather than God giving us salvation instead. Thye trinity gave a better life to us, we didn't earn it, we didn't obtain or attain it or whatever, it is a gift of love so that we are saved because of humility and not works and attaining.
The cammoandments in Islam are a little different but even if they were the same cammands islam still teaches people that they can earn their way into heaven if they follow allah's commands, while the Trinity (judeo- christianity) teaches that our efforts do nothing to gain salvation, that only God's moral efforts allow us to have salvation, that it is salvation "...not by works but through faith and faith not from ourselves... but from the spirit of God", so it is all about His works, not ours.
@LycaonsBane Buddhism does teach about gaining a better existence, and gaining by their own moral works, like gaining video game points or something. Islam teaches people to gain a better paradice in heaven by killing or converting non believers and Jews. Hinduism teaches people to make an effort to find salvation. Daoism teaches people to figure out their own morality. Jesus teaches that salvation is given to us and that we are saved by depending on Jesus (who did the work for us).
@LycaonsBane To boast is to show off what you've done, to boast in your heart is to believe that you can earn respect by showing someone what good you've done (like performing a spectacle and desiring attention from someone), it is self oriented by a small degree, humilty and the opposite of boasting is doing good WITHOUT telling anyone (unless telling someone helped teach a lesson of course) WITHOUT showing off to gain respect, God only gives salvation to the selfless, to the ones that love God
@LycaonsBane The gospel of salvation is veiled to those who think they can earn paradice by their works instead of by humility, buddhism teaches you that you are your own master and that you can have a better existence by your moral efforts, but judeo- christianity says that paradice/ a better existence is a gift of love from the Creator and that it is not by our works that we earn it but rather the Creator earned it & gave it to us and that it is veiled to us who are not humbled to the Creator
@LycaonsBane I meant all the other religons; I explained that all of the other religons except for judeo- christianity, I studied about buddhism, islam, hinduism, catholism, douism, satanism/ voodoo/ wicca, native american spiritualism, etc., etc., etc. they all have that pattern of teaching people that they can earn their way into heaven by their own moral efforts (thus having something to boast about theirselves), judeo- christianity is the only faith that does not teach this, it is humbled.

@LycaonsBane Well actually I did strudy the other religons, there is this pattern that I find in all of them except fot judeo- christianity, the pattern is that we can earn salvation by our works (which gives us something to boast about) Jesus teaches that God gave us salvation (so that there is nothing that we can boast about), my heart tells me that boasting is not humbled, and God restricts it completly. Are you humbled? Maybe you aren't and maybe that is why you defend the other religons.
@LycaonsBane You don't need the experiences to learn morality, every child has had intuitive conviction of some kind, whether they know morality or not, God says that out of the mouths of babes comes wisdom, Jesus said that he thanks God for revealing the gospel of salvation to the little children, God says that he gives salvation to the humbled, Jesus said that if we don't humble ourselves like small children then we can't enter the kingdom of heaven. You don't need to "build" your own morality
@LycaonsBane God is loving and just, you are not in danger as long as your heart accepts the works of Jesus (paying the price of your mistakes and conquring hell for you, not other religons offers that), you literally hurt God's feelings when you reject his son (after hearing about his son of course) the only danger is simply not trusting Jesus, you can go to heaven while believing the other religons as long as you trust Jesus.
@LycaonsBane I reject the other religons because they don't speak to the heart as well as judeo- christianity does, none of the other religons convict the heart and offer peace as accurately as judeo- christianity does. I'm convicted by God to reject the other religons; the other religons have a kind of atheistic behavior, like if an atheist was to believe in the spiritual realms- the other religons have that "feel" about them, but not judeo- christianity.
@LycaonsBane Other religions teach you that you can earn heaven by your own moral efforts, but the Trinity teaches that you can be in heaven by humbly giving your soul to God's love for us. That is how the other religions differ to Jesus; God sets up salvation in a certain way so that we don't have anything to boast about when it comes to getting to heaven, the other religons sets it up in a certain way so that the believer will have something to boast about when it comes to getting to heaven
@LycaonsBane But God judges everyone by their conscience, so if you consciously do not believe in your conscience after hearing the gospel, then you've rejected in your "heart" (in your conscience) already, since God is a spirit then God's judges reality according to the conscience, so by his moral standard you've heard the gospel and rejected it in your soul, to him you have no excuse because you've rejected it in your heart (your soul)
@LycaonsBane Sure you've developed your own moral law, to God you've become a moral law/ code onto yourself, and Gos says he holds you accountable for the moral law that you've created for yourself. It doesn't matter if you "patterned" it with your personal experiences, you've only merely chosen to do it in that style. God also says that his moral law is already written in people's hearts (intuitively), whether or not you add or change it in your heart is completly your choice, but dangerous.
@LycaonsBane not believing and not heeding God's warning and gospel of salvation is rejecting the gospel of salvation in your heart; as if you purposly refuse to believe then you've rejected it in your heart. God has approached people by way of the conscience and providence of hearing the gospel, if you choose not to believe then your conscience has rejected it and therefore you are in danger at the moment.
@LycaonsBane So you made a law on to yourself, even the bible documents that in people who don't know about God, for this God holds you accountable for the morality in your heart, if you make a mistake he forgives you through Jesus (whether you know it or accept it or not), if you are the kind of person that rejects God's forgivness (when you here about the gospel of Jesus) you can't be protected from the punishment of your own mistakes. Do you hyave the eternal power to conqure hell?
@Devidedistand I've always wondered why a blood sacrifice was necessary, the way i make sense of it is that God is just, it is part of who he is. And one cannot violate their own character, therefore justice is demanded. That's how it makes sense to me.
This is a good video, but you should have pointed out Jesus being God's Word (or Wisdom) as depicted in John 1, and the "wisdom literature" of the OT.

@LycaonsBane My life is peaceful because the Creator forgave all of my mistakes, I'm not in peace because of my skills & efforts, I'm not in peace if I boast & show off my moral behavior, I'm at peace because I hold myself accountable to my mistakes in the face of the Creator & accept the fact that the Creator completly forgives me, the Creator's forgiveness was established when the Creator paid the price of the moral punishment that I deserve, so punishment is gone; you can have the same thing.
@LycaonsBane Sure anyone makes mistakes, that is not a problem with the Creator because the Creator offers forgiveness in advance so that you don't have to be punished at all for your mistakes, are you willing to take accountability for your mistakes and accept absolute forgivness for your mistakes (in humility)?

People who do this are expecting others to be moral to gain a nice future for theirselves, you reckonize morality for the sake of recieving good social behavior from others, can you care for someone who hates you without asking for anything in return? Are you willing to give up your self respect & entitlement to forgive your enimies?
@LycaonsBane The people that trully, subconsciously, desire to do such moral things are not "veiled" to the gospel of salvation (from God through Jesus of course); people who actually trully care about giving to the poor, who are optimistic, who has desire to be kind (without selfish intent) are most likely to believe (not by default) in God or at least desire a Creator. People with immoral (self indulgent subconscious behavior) are most inclined to not desire God/ the Creator (without default).
So all atheists are immoral? That statement is testable, you know-one can look at statistics of imprisonment, for instance, and find that atheists are vastly under represented in prisons.
Talking about people being "veiled" from your salvation sounds a lot like God creating people who are destined for hell. Sort of like if I created a child in a lab and after they disobeyed me I ripped their eyes out with a meathook and spent ten thousand years electrocuting them.

It is interesting that at the beginning of each section of the Nevi'im, the prophet's name means Salvation, or YHWH saves.
Former Prophets: יחושוע Joshua
Latter Prophets: ישעיה Isaiah
The Twelve: הושע Hosea
So when we arrive at the New Testament... Yeshua, means the same thing :)

Colossians 1:15 Jesus is the image of the invisible God. Since God is eternal and invisible, He reveals Himself to us as Jesus Christ. As Jesus Christ He is limited to time and space but He still exists as God the Father. He is Spirit and as Spirit He lives in everyone with faith in Jesus Christ the Son.

I was raised as a JW and their arguments (even now when I am no longer with them) had me confused. This has been the one issue I have seen many sides to and have fought to understand. I have prayed over this much and even read up on the Greek translation that uses the red "a" in 1st John. To be a Deity, Christ must share the same rank and essential nature of God. If he is not of the same rank then Jesus is not God. Submitting to His Father is not a God crime, nor is Jesus when He declared that God the Father is greater than He. Jesus still holds the rank and essential nature of God that makes Him God. They are one God.

Joshua in the Grk Septuagint was also translated Iesous. In German, the i becomes a J, and thus you have JESUS. It is a real tranliteration of his name. "YAHSHUA" is a make believe name.

Iesus iesuos dont appear in the oldest greek comlplete version of the bible the sinaiticus we see Y-u X notice it says Yahu Christ Yahu is short for Yahuwah. Yahshua does apear 30 times in the masoretic text of our bibles, but it is the shortened defective form of the full hebrew name Yahuwshua, even if you go to blue lettre bible and type jesus, it says its of latin iesus from greek Iesuos, sus in latin means pig.

Iesous appearing almost 50 times as a translation in the Greek Septuagint, written 300 BC. The use of Iesous Greek (Jesus) for Joshua (Hebrew) was common long before the birth of our Savior. The book of Yahoshua (Hebrew- English Joshua) in the Greek Septuagint is Called Iesous naus, meaning Joshua Son of Nun.

@LycaonsBane There is a small degree of boasting in our hearts when we acheive something by our works instead of recieving it from the Creator who loves us. I'm sure that if there is nirvana then there is something opposite of nervana which would be horrible to experience (kind of like hell) and like all things there exists the opposites of things, the opposite of light, the opposite of life, the opposite of positive karma/ nirvana, there exists the opposite of heaven, opposites can't merge.

@LycaonsBane Can buddha carry the weight and burden of all death/ suffering by himself, how can a god love humanity fully if he can't simply give us salvation purely as a gift, in Jesus (God in human flesh) humility and love is achieved fully because God gave us salvation souly as a gift without us having to earn it, and that we are humbled by simply resaeving and not trusting our efforts to attain it, what is love without it being unconditionally given?

@LycaonsBane just following the footsteps of the buddha is still teaching people to attain positive karma by their efforts, Jesus saves us by literally doing the works FOR US, that it's not by us following Jesus footsteps, but rather that Jesus himself conqured all nagative karma all by himself so that just trusting Jesus's name can sheild us from all negative karma without doing anything to avoid bad karma; in other words Jesus IS the king of karma & he GAVE us positive karma as a gift of love.

@LycaonsBane Jesus taught that it is not even by us doing everything that Jesus did that saves us because Jesus had to do what was required of the law perfectly, God knows we can't attain the moral law perfectly so he explains that simply repenting and trusting Jesus's perfect works to be saved, following Jesus's footsteps to be saved is still not what would save us because to follow in his footsteps means we have to be morally perfect to be saved, no, our trust in Jesus doing it for us saves us

The kind of buddhism that can save someone is christian buddhism, were one would center their faith on Jesus's good works to inherit positive karma after death; I learned that there are a large number of Japanese christian buddhists living in Japan (I saw it in a documentery, it was interesting), were there are Japanese buddhists who have a picture of Jesus in the middle of their buddhist shrine

@LycaonsBane But the original christian text say that it is by faith in the trinity that one is saved because the works of the trinity gave us salvation, just simply having faith in God without having faith in God's kindness won't save anyone any better than someone having faith in an idol to be saved; it is faith in God's kindness to us that brings salvation. @LycaonsBane Whether buddhism calls it positive karma or not it still teaches people to earn a "reward", to earn positive karma, by their own efforts. Yet the "karma" of the Trinity (god of judeo- christianity) is owned by the trinity and is given to us by the trinity's kindness/ forgivness. It is veiled to those who are not humbled enough to give up on the mindset that they can earn it through their own works.

The cammoandments in Islam are a little different but even if they were the same cammands islam still teaches people that they can earn their way into heaven if they follow allah's commands, while the Trinity (judeo- christianity) teaches that our efforts do nothing to gain salvation, that only God's moral efforts allow us to have salvation, that it is salvation "...not by works but through faith and faith not from ourselves... but from the spirit of God", so it is all about His works, not ours.

@LycaonsBane Buddhism does teach about gaining a better existence, and gaining by their own moral works, like gaining video game points or something. Islam teaches people to gain a better paradice in heaven by killing or converting non believers and Jews. Hinduism teaches people to make an effort to find salvation. Daoism teaches people to figure out their own morality. Jesus teaches that salvation is given to us and that we are saved by depending on Jesus (who did the work for us).

@LycaonsBane To boast is to show off what you've done, to boast in your heart is to believe that you can earn respect by showing someone what good you've done (like performing a spectacle and desiring attention from someone), it is self oriented by a small degree, humilty and the opposite of boasting is doing good WITHOUT telling anyone (unless telling someone helped teach a lesson of course) WITHOUT showing off to gain respect, God only gives salvation to the selfless, to the ones that love God

@LycaonsBane I meant all the other religons; I explained that all of the other religons except for judeo- christianity, I studied about buddhism, islam, hinduism, catholism, douism, satanism/ voodoo/ wicca, native american spiritualism, etc., etc., etc. they all have that pattern of teaching people that they can earn their way into heaven by their own moral efforts (thus having something to boast about theirselves), judeo- christianity is the only faith that does not teach this, it is humbled.

@LycaonsBane You say "like it or not", as if I feel cornered in this debate somehow & that I feel doubt in the existence of God, I don't feel cornered, God is morality & convicts our hearts, he even teaches us to not create/ build our own morallity and trust his morality instead, a person has to be humbled in the first place to trust God's moraility instead of his/ her own, I don't "build" my own morality, I trust the morality that God gave me, now I have nothing to boast about myself.

@LycaonsBane Well actually I did strudy the other religons, there is this pattern that I find in all of them except fot judeo- christianity, the pattern is that we can earn salvation by our works (which gives us something to boast about) Jesus teaches that God gave us salvation (so that there is nothing that we can boast about), my heart tells me that boasting is not humbled, and God restricts it completly. Are you humbled? Maybe you aren't and maybe that is why you defend the other religons.

@LycaonsBane You don't need the experiences to learn morality, every child has had intuitive conviction of some kind, whether they know morality or not, God says that out of the mouths of babes comes wisdom, Jesus said that he thanks God for revealing the gospel of salvation to the little children, God says that he gives salvation to the humbled, Jesus said that if we don't humble ourselves like small children then we can't enter the kingdom of heaven. You don't need to "build" your own morality

@LycaonsBane God is loving and just, you are not in danger as long as your heart accepts the works of Jesus (paying the price of your mistakes and conquring hell for you, not other religons offers that), you literally hurt God's feelings when you reject his son (after hearing about his son of course) the only danger is simply not trusting Jesus, you can go to heaven while believing the other religons as long as you trust Jesus.

@LycaonsBane I reject the other religons because they don't speak to the heart as well as judeo- christianity does, none of the other religons convict the heart and offer peace as accurately as judeo- christianity does. I'm convicted by God to reject the other religons; the other religons have a kind of atheistic behavior, like if an atheist was to believe in the spiritual realms- the other religons have that "feel" about them, but not judeo- christianity.

@LycaonsBane Other religions teach you that you can earn heaven by your own moral efforts, but the Trinity teaches that you can be in heaven by humbly giving your soul to God's love for us. That is how the other religions differ to Jesus; God sets up salvation in a certain way so that we don't have anything to boast about when it comes to getting to heaven, the other religons sets it up in a certain way so that the believer will have something to boast about when it comes to getting to heaven

@LycaonsBane But God judges everyone by their conscience, so if you consciously do not believe in your conscience after hearing the gospel, then you've rejected in your "heart" (in your conscience) already, since God is a spirit then God's judges reality according to the conscience, so by his moral standard you've heard the gospel and rejected it in your soul, to him you have no excuse because you've rejected it in your heart (your soul)

@LycaonsBane Sure you've developed your own moral law, to God you've become a moral law/ code onto yourself, and Gos says he holds you accountable for the moral law that you've created for yourself. It doesn't matter if you "patterned" it with your personal experiences, you've only merely chosen to do it in that style. God also says that his moral law is already written in people's hearts (intuitively), whether or not you add or change it in your heart is completly your choice, but dangerous.

@LycaonsBane not believing and not heeding God's warning and gospel of salvation is rejecting the gospel of salvation in your heart; as if you purposly refuse to believe then you've rejected it in your heart. God has approached people by way of the conscience and providence of hearing the gospel, if you choose not to believe then your conscience has rejected it and therefore you are in danger at the moment.

@LycaonsBane So you made a law on to yourself, even the bible documents that in people who don't know about God, for this God holds you accountable for the morality in your heart, if you make a mistake he forgives you through Jesus (whether you know it or accept it or not), if you are the kind of person that rejects God's forgivness (when you here about the gospel of Jesus) you can't be protected from the punishment of your own mistakes. @Devidedistand I've always wondered why a blood sacrifice was necessary, the way i make sense of it is that God is just, it is part of who he is. And one cannot violate their own character, therefore justice is demanded. That's how it makes sense to me.

@LycaonsBane My life is peaceful because the Creator forgave all of my mistakes, I'm not in peace because of my skills & efforts, I'm not in peace if I boast & show off my moral behavior, I'm at peace because I hold myself accountable to my mistakes in the face of the Creator & accept the fact that the Creator completly forgives me, the Creator's forgiveness was established when the Creator paid the price of the moral punishment that I deserve, so punishment is gone; you can have the same thing.

@LycaonsBane The people that trully, subconsciously, desire to do such moral things are not "veiled" to the gospel of salvation (from God through Jesus of course); people who actually trully care about giving to the poor, who are optimistic, who has desire to be kind (without selfish intent) are most likely to believe (not by default) in God or at least desire a Creator. People with immoral (self indulgent subconscious behavior) are most inclined to not desire God/ the Creator (without default).

So all atheists are immoral? That statement is testable, you know-one can look at statistics of imprisonment, for instance, and find that atheists are vastly under represented in prisons.
Talking about people being "veiled" from your salvation sounds a lot like God creating people who are destined for hell. Sort of like if I created a child in a lab and after they disobeyed me I ripped their eyes out with a meathook and spent ten thousand years electrocuting them.

@ToothpickMcBrainy No, I explained that atheism is a RESULT of very suttle subconscious immoral behavior (I'm not talking about people who are atheist by default), I'm talking about those who are atheist after knowing about God, those people are not immoral because they are atheist, rather that they are atheist BECAUSE of the suttle subconscious immoral behavior; atheism is not the cause of the "veiling" of the gospel of salvation, it's the subconscious suttle immoral behavior that is the cause.

@keksinnot it is quite the opposite. when we truly get saved we take on God's nature. Jesus walked as a man and was tempted like a man but he never had the sin nature which is human nature.
