The NFL--like the big banks--has become too large to fail--LOL!!! Due to lobbying efforts by the players union, some U.S. Congressmen were willing to intervene on behalf of the players since a work stoppage could potentially cost each NFL city $160 million.

Perhaps it's time to amend Public Law 89-800 which allows NFL owners to be exempt from most antitrust laws and put more power in the hands of the players whom fans pay to see.

@JacobHall86 I think you seriously underestimate the amount of dedication and work it takes to make it in professional sports. It takes so much work just to be a college football player, and only the top 1% ever make it to the NFL.

Also, even though ticket prices are astronomically high, the NFL still sells out a majority of its regular season games. Why would they lower ticket prices for you when they can easily find someone willing to pay $70 to go to a game?
